Great Head
This head is great if you are looking to get rid of all the High End Screachy Overtones, but still have a lively head that isnt dull and lifeless. I use this head on my 7x13 Tama Maple Artwood Limited, and it sounds good at all kinds of different tunings, although I prefer the sound this head proivides at High Tension tunings. Even if you Prefer Remo Drum heads (or some other brand) for all the rest of your drums like me, this is an exceptional head and you won't find another like it.

A bit too muffled, especially for my metal snares. I have found the ST Dry to be perfect on Aluminum, Copper, Bronze and Steel.

This was my first time buying something from guitar center and I was very happy with the outcome come. The head is very durable and creates a nice crisp sound. #sweepstakes

Having this head for that classic snare sound is nice, but the added benefit of the dry vents helps get rid of gels and terrible looking tape. This head is much easier to tune, and at higher tensions, the vents help define overtones for a better character. I have this head on my backup snares, and would recommend it for a quick grab.

Amazing durability. This head provides the perfect amount of dampening, tone and durability. The dampening on the head is enough that half of a standard moongel will take out the little bit of ring completely. When I play live this head SINGS, no need for extra dampening.

Personally enjoy how Anika Nilles drums sound and searched for her equipment. I am a heavy hitter tho and used to use the Heavyweight but this HD DRY gives me what is needed and has still been good to me.
I would buy this again

Can this be used for top and bottom snare heads?
Probably not. It's not designed for it and will probably not sound very good.
