Short and Sweet
I bought these heads about a month ago and I loved them. They'll give your drums a nice, deep, warm tone. You'll like them if you want a short, deep sound from your toms. These heads get rid of most of the ring and supply a good amount of punch.

I would use these head in a studio situation if it's required. To much low and not enough sustain; However, Evans heads are superior in quality and sound. I have the G2 coated ,UV1 and genera dry on my snare and I am pleased with them.

For the longest time I debated on whether or not I should get a Evans Hydraulic head. I finally got a chance and was blown away from the sound it produced on my new Yamaha Stage Custom 14x5.5 Snare. I have tuned high and produced a great crack. I also heard they were easy to tune.

If you want a 70's fat controlled tone out of your toms, there's nothing better than these drumheads from Evans. I put these on my old Tama Swingstar kit and it brought new life out those drums. Easy to tune, sound great, and affordable. These sound great live and in the studio.

Would the 14" Evans Glass Hydraulic Drum Head be a good head to use as a batter head on a 14x12 Sonor Martini Kit Bass Drum? Every head I've tried so far has still made that bass drum sound like a tin can.
I’m sorry, I don’t know. It would need to be testedsubmitted5 years ago
