I was skeptical that this would sound any better than a regular mesh head with snare wires turned on....but WOW! Absolutely incredible! While it is a bit louder than a regular mesh and snares, it's still quiet enough not to disturb the neighbors. The sound is much more realistic. The tactile feel while playing is much more realistic, especially for ghost notes, etc. While there's nothing as good as a regular snare set up and loud, if you have to play quiet, this is the way to go! Bravo Evans!!
