Fender Custom Shop Limited-Edition '62 Stratocaster Heavy Relic Electric Guitar Faded Aged Surf Green over 3-Color Sunburst

Description
The Fender Custom Shop Limited-Edition '62 Stratocaster Heavy Relic captures all the magic of an original 1962 model that's been cherished for decades. From its heavily aged nitrocellulose lacquer finish to the flat-laminated rosewood fingerboard, this Strat has been painstakingly reliced to transport you back to the early '60s with a worn-in feel and singularly vintage vibe right out of the case.
An Impeccably Reliced Finish
Just like a treasured vintage instrument, the '62 Strat Heavy Relic wears its battle scars proudly. The faded aged nitrocellulose lacquer finish has been meticulously distressed to replicate decades of play. Subtle dings, dents and discoloration adorn the 2-piece alder body, while the glossy quartersawn maple neck displays the kind of honest playing wear that only comes from years on the road. Even the vintage clay dot inlays show signs of use. It's a stunning representation of a life well-lived. Choose one of three color options: Aged Olympic White over 3-Color Sunburst, Faded Aged Surf Green over 3-Color Sunburst or Aged Candy Tangerine over 3-Color Sunburst.
Premium Tonewoods Deliver Pure Fender Resonance
Despite its aged look, the '62 Strat Heavy Relic offers the premium tone woods and craftsmanship you'd expect from a Fender Custom Shop creation. The 2-piece alder body provides the quintessential foundation for that classic Strat bite. The quartersawn maple neck offers superior dimensional stability, capped by a flat-laminated 3A rosewood fingerboard with jumbo frets for effortless playability. Together, these premium materials ring out with bell-like sustain and articulate note attack.
Custom Shop '60s Pickups Recapture Vintage Strat Tone
To authentically recreate the sound of an original 1962 Stratocaster, the Custom Shop team loaded the Heavy Relic with a trio of handwound '60/'63 single-coil pickups. The RWRP middle pickup provides those signature glassy, sparkling tones, while the bridge and neck pickups deliver the warmth and punch that defined the Strat's voice in its early years. With the full 5-way pickup selector at your disposal, you'll have access to the complete vintage Strat palette.
Vintage Appointments for Authentic Feel and Performance
Authentic vintage details abound on the '62 Strat Heavy Relic. The vintage-style synchronized tremolo features a period-correct design and feel, along with a slick bone nut for enhanced sustain and tuning stability. Vintage-style tuners with the Fender logo add a classic visual touch. Even the control knobs are crafted from vintage white plastic. You'll swear this guitar was a time traveler from the '60s.
