collapse expand iconDescription

The Fender American Professional II Roasted Pine Telecaster is a unique take on the world's first commercially successful solidbody electric guitar. Fender has reimagined their flagship American Professional series with this roasted pine body model and its innovative features that push the boundaries of Telecaster tone and playability.

Roasted Pine Body Resonates With Vintage Character

The Fender American Professional II Telecaster's roasted pine body provides a lightweight, organic tone with rich complexity. The roasting process chemically transforms the wood, reducing moisture and softening the pine for enhanced resonance and stability. The result is a distinctively woody, open voice with shimmering highs, punchy mids and tight low end—vintage Tele tone at its finest.

New V-Mod II Pickups Deliver Articulate Twang and Snarl

New V-Mod II single-coil pickups are more articulate and touch-sensitive than ever, with abundant twang, snap and snarl. The bridge pickup barks with clarity and focus, while the neck pickup sings with warmth and detail. A push-push switch on the tone pot toggles between series and parallel wiring for wider tonal variety.

Top-Load Bridge and Sculpted Neck Heel Enhance Playability

The innovative top-load/string-through bridge provides flexible setup options and enhanced sustain. Adjust individual string height and intonation for your perfect feel. A contoured neck heel and rolled fretboard edges make the upper register instantly accessible. The satin-finished maple neck glides effortlessly under your fingers.

Modern Refinements Meet Timeless Style

From its lightweight ash or alder body to its fast-playing maple neck, the Telecaster's elegant simplicity has endured for over 65 years. The American Professional II Telecaster blends Fender's rich history with modern enhancements for professional-grade tone and performance.

I just received the Telecaster American Professional II in Roasted Pine. I have wanted a Telecaster for years but always thought I would get butterscotch. But wanting to be different I went with the RP. Sound: Great (Princeton Reverb Amp) The case is great. Quality great!

Wow! I have the AMPII in roasted pine. I have had a lot of tele's over the years. This thing is half the weight and twice the tone of my AMSpecial. I absolutely love it. Playability is so much better too. It has excellent feel. Dig in for raunch or ease up for articulation of notes.

Great feel. Great build. Perfect to attain custom shop performance without breaking the bank. I've had a bunch of teles over the years. Some CS. I like this the best since it performs at a professional level without concerning yourself of a tremendous loss if stolen etc.

I really love this guitar. I gig with it in a local band and it really cuts through the mix. The instrument quality is really impressive. Pros - the finish, the neck shape (my favorite) the satin neck (fast and not sticky), the contours by the bone nut (really comfortable), the set-up, the tuning stability, and the tone pot has a full sweep (0-100%). Cons - The brass saddle is hard to intonate and I am not crazy about the tall frets but they are okay. I don't really use the middle position which is where the parallel feature comes in. It's just not for me. However, by utilizing the tone knob, I am able to get a lot of great tones from the bridge position and neck position. This is still my number one axe. I have an American ultra strat too. It's a great instrument but I hardly ever play it because I prefer this tele and it was less expensive. I would highly recommend this guitar to any tele player. I want the silver one too but I am not made of money. If I could only have one finish it would be the Sienna Burst.

I am still trying to get over the finish, feel and sound of this guitar. It sticks out in my mind as beautiful, unique and a cut above the rest in so many ways. Fender has up'd their game with the Professional II series, so much so, that, having to go vintage for the right telecaster wasn't necessary any longer. LOVE this guitar. It will be a keeper for sure.

All guitars vary depending on the density of the wood. Manufacturers usually only spec size and type of wood. Guitars are generally between 6 and 12 lbs. They can be more. The only way to know the weight of an individual instrument is to weigh it. I'm sorry but I don't have one to weigh. This will be approximately 8.5 – 9.5 lbs
