Great guitar off the shelves, it only required a little setup but played great from the moment I picked it up from the store. I have an older MIM strat and the quality of the standard is on par with the MIM.

This is a great, affordable fender. It may not be American made, but the quality is top notch. It plays like a dream, feels great and does not need an upgrade. The pickups, pots and tuners are fantastic. It may need a setup if you buy it new but that is easy to do.

I went into the Winston Salem NC store, sat down with a bunch of different guitars to try. I knew i'd be leaving with one of them. I tried a paranormal Squier, didn't like the feel. I tried a PRS SE singlecut, it was nice, but it felt like a Les Paul and i didn't like that. I tried an Ibanez RG450, i liked it but it just didn't WOW me. Then I tried a Polar White Fender Players strat. It sang to me. It needed a pro setup, which i knew I'd do first thing when i got it home. I played it in all the pickup positions, rolled the knobs and they weren't scratchy, Nice linear tapers on the tone. The Bridge p/u is connected to the bottom tone knob (i think they didn't used to be back in the day - i'm an old guy..) The bridge and tremolo were lovely. This is a Mexican build. To me that's an American made strat as Mexico is in North America :-) I pulled the trigger on this Polar White Strat and have loved it ever since. I've played some Strats before but never owned one til now. I'm very happy with it and I have done a pro setup on it and it plays like a dream.

This offers something unique that makes me play different and doesn't hold me back. Only down side to mine was fret sprout but it is winter at this time. I've heard a lot of hate out there for this guitar, think for yourself and try one out at your local music store.
