I love vintage telecasters, but can afford the real deal. Besides, I would rather deck it out with some Fralin pickups and Schaller locking tuners… things I would never do to the real deal.
Good buy

I bought a 2018 Fender Player Telecaster Pau Ferro Fingerboard Electric Guitar 3-Color Sunburst. Very nick guitar for the price. The pickups were OK, but there was the 60-cycle hum. So, I bought Fender's 4th Generation noiseless pick-ups and love them. However, the original 3-color Sun Burst body got severe damage by accident. So, I bought a black Fender body. The neck fit the body perfectly. The body is not an aftermarket body and has the Fender logo painted under the neckplate. I love my guitar with a black look (see my photos). However, I need to say the finish is very shinny and well painted, but be careful, per it will scratch easily. When installing the control plate, I noticed there I not a lot of room, so be careful not to press the control plate down in the well area, and/or screw it down to force it in, if it does not fit into the Well-Area. Why? You will crack the paint on the backside of the guitar (about an inch long) as I did. Take your time and jiggle the control plate into the Well-Area. It will fit, but there is not a lot of extra room. But, the small paint crack on the back is no big deal for me, per I am buying a stick-on rubber protection pad for the back and the little paint crack will not be seen. I also bought a new engraved steel pickguard, and a new engraved steel control plate, and a new engraved steel bridge plate. Why? It just looks cool. All-in-all the new black body works perfectly, and looks amazing, and the string action is perfectly low with no rattling or buzzing. So, I recommend this replacement body.
Nice but...

Very nice looking body but the paint job didn't go down into the pickup routes, like they were oddly routed after paint and finish. I couldn't use as I'm putting a 1/2 size bridge on so it would have looked funny showing bare wood around the pickup.

Will a 22 fret neck work on a Telecaster SS Alder Body Vintage Bridge Mount?
This should work for you.
