I purchased this lock a little uncertain of its quality, since it was half the price of some other locks. It works just as well as similar locks, and I would definitely buy more in the future. Although I was prompted to write a review because I would be entered in the #sweepstakes, my views on this product are honest. I am glad I made this purchase, and would buy it again when I need more.

Wish I'd known about these sooner! They're perfect! Currently using them on my smaller set. Now that I know about them, I'll get more for my bigger set.

My new Gretsch Catalina Club Jazz kit did not come with memory locks for the floor tom legs. Important to me to have those legs at the same spot each gig. It also saves time. Legs are very thin so I ordered the smallest memory locks Gilbralter offered. At turning all the way tight the locks could go, they could not go tight enough to stay in place and could slide off. Will be returning them. Going to call Gretsch for suggestions. Do feel like using hose clamps on my new kit.

Bought these thinking they would work for positioning the spurs on the bass drum of my Sonor Safari Kit but they did not work. My bad. I will use them on Gibralter hardware I currently have to make life easier setting up in the future. Well worth the money however. A note to fellow Sonor street kit users: You have to go with the Sonor hardware to make things work. No big deal however. Gibralter hardware is rock solid stuff.

Just slap it onto an arm or leg, tighten it and you're done. Best of all is the free shipping.

After years of having to basically disassemble stands and mounts or remove toms to place memory locks, this product is a real blessing. The hinged feature makes things considerably easier. Make sure, though, of the diameter of whatever it is you're using these on. The lock was just a little bit too small for my 'hat and cymbal arms on my Roland kit---I was able to get around this by going to the local hardware and picking up some SAE thread screws that matched the t-rods but were longer. Quality was good, typical of Gibraltar.
