Ultra-Modern Weight Relief and AA Figured Maple Cap for Comfort and Style
The Les Paul Studio Sessions features Gibson's Ultra-Modern weight relief, which reduces the guitar's weight without sacrificing tone or sustain. This makes the guitar incredibly comfortable to play, even for extended periods. The AA figured maple cap adds a touch of elegance to the guitar's appearance, with its unique grain patterns and rich, three-dimensional depth. The Translucent Ebony Burst finish enhances the natural beauty of the wood, creating a visually stunning instrument.
SlimTaper Neck With Modern Contoured Heel for Effortless Playability
The Les Paul Studio Sessions boasts a mahogany neck with a SlimTaper profile, offering a comfortable and familiar feel for players of all styles. The SlimTaper profile is known for its smooth playability and fast action, making it ideal for both intricate chord work and blistering lead lines. The Modern Contoured Heel provides unparalleled access to the upper frets, allowing you to effortlessly reach those high notes without sacrificing comfort or playability.
Versatile Electronics for a Wide Range of Tonal Options
The Les Paul Studio Sessions is equipped with a pair of '57 Classic pickups, known for their vintage-inspired tone and dynamic response. The '57 Classic in the neck position delivers a warm, creamy tone with a touch of sweetness, perfect for smooth jazz lines and singing blues solos. The '57 Classic Plus in the bridge position offers a hotter output and enhanced midrange, delivering punchy rhythms and aggressive lead tones with that classic Les Paul growl. The versatile push/pull controls on the volume and tone knobs allow you to access coil-tapping, phase switching and pure bypass options, providing a wide range of tonal possibilities.
Bound Ebony Fingerboard and Premium Hardware for Exceptional Performance
The Les Paul Studio Session electric guitar features a bound ebony fingerboard with acrylic trapezoid inlays, adding a touch of elegance and sophistication. Ebony is renowned for its smooth feel and fast response, making it ideal for both intricate fingerpicking and rapid-fire lead work. The guitar is also equipped with Grover Rotomatic tuners with Keystone buttons for smooth and precise tuning, an aluminum Nashville Tune-O-Matic bridge and an aluminum stop bar tailpiece for exceptional sustain and intonation. The black nickel plating on the hardware complements the guitar's sleek aesthetic.

Gibson knocked it out of the park. The guitar looks and sounds amazing. I have owned an ES335 since 2013 that I love, and this guitar plays just as well if not better.
This guitar really is the one!

I absolutely love this guitar, it weighs 3 pounds less than my 60s standard and it looks and sounds amazing. The upper fret access is really nice and the pickups are super versatile.

I got the Cobalt Blue. What a beautiful guitar. The finish and playability are outstanding. I received mine a few days before they were available in the stores. One month later it is still fantastic! Very happy with my purchase.
Easy to play

After seeing a few videos I wanted to stop by my local GC to check one of these out. They hadn't even had a chance to unbox it yet. They opened it up and handed me the guitar. Shortly thereafter I was sold! The fit and finish was flawless... Nut was cut and polished perfectly, frets were all leveled and polished, binding on the neck and overall finish was perfect. Action was set to a normal 2mm out of the box but a slight lowering of the bridge and it was dialed in perfectly. Once I got it home I checked the neck relief and it was spot on as well. So far all I have done is just play it. The 57 classic and classic plus are some of my favorite Gibson pickups as I like consistency. I've found some BB are great and others just sound too bright or too dull (as you would expect). Once you get your amp set for the classics, you are good even if you switch guitars as they deliver to me the sound I expect which thus far has worked with regardless of what variation of guitars I have with me. I have a 2017 Standard HP which has a large tonal range and this Studio Sessions pretty much matches it for all practical purposes. To me the neck coil tap is perfect for cleans and I can hear a difference with the by pass which is proving great for lead work. While it may not have body binding, the neck binding, inlay Gibson logo and ebony fretboard give this guitar a very stunning look. For a AA top I'm impressed with the figuring as well. Believe the hype on this model, it's fantastic and offers quite a number of options that you don't get with a Standard. If you can live without body binding this is the one to get! The past few years I've come across a number of guitars where the rosewood was rough, something I hadn't seen much of over the past 40 years. That is a big turn off for me when playing so I'll note for those who may have missed it, this has an ebony fretboard and it's silky smooth. Since they removed the ebony from the old 90s Studio models you can usually only get it on the CS models or special editions if memory serves me correctly. Not anymore! The fretboard alone to me is worth the price jump from the regular Studio and was one of the reasons I chose this over another Standard. Don't get me wrong, those are very nice and the ones I tried felt great but to me rosewood just doesn't compare with the Ebony. Add the pickups, tonal options, figured top etc... and the choice was easy. Last thing - modern weight relief, mine is 8.2 lbs! Sustain is as you would expect from a Les Paul and at this weight I can play for hours! Very pleased with this purchase, haven't put it down since I got it!
