The Gretsch Drums Catalina Club Jazz 4-Piece Shell Pack Yellow Satin Flame combines vintage appeal with contemporary playability. This compact set features seven-ply mahogany shells with 30° bearing edges for warm, resonant tone with ample attack. The 14x18" kick drum provides a beefy low end, while the 8x12" tom, 14x14" floor tom and 5x14" snare offer a balanced combination of tones for playing everything from jazz to rock.

Retro Finish and Classic Gretsch Hardware

The Catalina Club Jazz Shell Pack is adorned in a yellow satin flame wrap for a retro look, while Gretsch's signature round "gas cap" bass drum mount plate, Mini GTS tom mounting system and T-Wing screws provide a touch of modern style. Reduced-mass tom brackets and matching wood bass drum hoops complete the vintage-meets-contemporary aesthetic.

Remo Drumheads for Optimal Tone

Each drum in the Catalina Club Jazz Shell Pack is fitted with a Remo drumhead to produce the warm, punchy tone Gretsch drums are known for. The combination of mahogany shells and Remo heads results in a balanced set of drums equally at home playing jazz, blues, rock or fusion.

Compact and Portable

With a 14" kick drum and two mid-sized toms, the Catalina Club Jazz 4-Piece Shell Pack is ideal for drummers needing a compact yet full-sounding set.     I have the walnut kit and absolutely love it. Great tone. The snare is awesome! Great sound. The kick also has great sound. I'm not totally crazy about the 5 lug Tom, but it'll tune up pretty decently. For the money, it is the only kit to buy. I use it in my club, for mostly jazz and cover artists.

    I'm a professional guitarist bassist and drummer. I use this drum set when I'm in my studio. This says it's for Jazz but I use it for metal and it's great for that genre. I got the yellow color because yellow is my favorite color.

    I already had a beautiful set of all birch Yamaha Power Tour Customs (vintage '86) and a set of the original Ludwig Vistalites, when I bought the 4-pc Catalina Club kit. I just wanted a small practice kit to be kind to my neighbors, and for the really small venues. It didn't take long before I fell in love with this kit. The sound, feel, and quality are amazing for a kit this inexpensive. It's SO versatile! Change the heads and the tuning, and it's like getting a whole new kit. I've put 2-ply hydraulics on top and bottom and set it up like a punchy punk kit, and I've used single ply coated tuned high for jazz, and everything in between. I added the 20" bass drum, and now I use it for everything from recording to live performances in any venue. I absolutely love this kit, and am considering selling the other two.

    This is a great drum kit. I use mostly for Big Band, but they also sound great for rock, blues, and country.
