Nice after setup

Just practicing with it so far, but plan to use it for recording and to play in small venues. I normally play dreadnaughts, so this is a change of pace, being slightly smaller. Arrived with pretty high action, so I had to have it set up. Now it plays great as well as sounds great.
Absolute steal of a all solid wood guitar!

Upon arrival it definitively needed setup and replacement of strings. I had guitar center perform the set up and installed D'Addario XS 12's. I also replaced the plastic bridge pins with bone to match the bone nut and saddle it comes with. Lightly sanded the neck for a satin finish (5 min job). It now sings as good as or better than any Taylor or Martin for less than half the price. Exceeded all expectations! Next on my list is the OM-120. Love my Guild. Guild USA please make an OM or 000 model!!!
One of my best purchases ever.

I absolutely love this guitar. It is an all solid wood guitar and plays like a dream. The soft bag that comes with it is wonderful and even has a neck support built into it. I would buy this guitar 10 times if I had the money.

After playing guitar for 30+ years I wanted to get myself something nicer to play in my home. I was primarily shopping Martin and Taylor, but Guild kept popping up in my mind, as a friend of mine had one back in the 80s that I liked. After checking out the Guild lineup on their website, I found that I preferred their design choices over that of Taylor (shapes of the cutaway, bridge, pickguard, and headstock). And for the price of a entry-level guitar by Taylor or Martin (with laminate sides and back), I could get a guitar with solid spruce top, solid mahogany back and sides, with electronics included. I was originally willing to pay a bit more for one of the Made in USA Guild guitars, but as it happens, they do not have a USA built OM model, which is my preferred body shape. So that made my decision a bit easier. I've been playing this guitar for about a month as of this review and I'm very pleased with it.
Very playable and well made guitar.

I was looking for a playable guitar with a cutout to be able to access the higher frets. I played many of the guitars at the store and this one stood out. I am very happy with this guitar. It is well made and is a pleasure to play. I can't put it down!
