The GRGR120EX features poplar body with binding. A maple neck combined with a purpleheart fretboard, reversed headstock, shark tooth inlay and jumbo frets allows aggressive power chording and smooth, fast playing. The T102 bridge with 10.5 mm string spacing allows easier picking across strings. Electronics include two Infinity R H-H pickups with a 3-way selector switch for a variety of tonal options, right at your fingertips. 

A case is sold separately.

I did a bd thing...

I originally picked this up as a present for my nephew for his birthday. He's got a really awful Squire and I wanted to upgrade him. I knew it sounded good at the store, but when I got it home it floored me. I loved it's raw and aggressive sound through my Bugera V22 Infin. It kicked my MIM strat's butt. Not great clean-wize against the strat, but feed it a little distortion or overdrive and boom - tone city. My MIM ran for cover. So the bad thing I did...I kept the guitar for myself. I know, I know, I'm an awful uncle. But I'm going to go out and get him another one on time for his BD. He just can't have this one. It's mine. The fit and finish are crazy at this price. Right, the parts are cheap. But they're good enough cheap. I've got no problems. The neck is straight and comfortable, the radius is highly playable whatever it is. The trem is the classic strat type, 6 screws for pivots, but with the fat modern type intonators. You can't go off on it without getting out of tune of course, but you can warble it all day long for a sweet detune. Another thing about the trem, they got it figured out how long to make the height adjustment screws so you don't get the palm of your hand shredded. Wish my MIM had that feature. I feel a kind of weird pleasure/distaste with this guitar. It feels good to have snagged this gem so cheap, but it's kind of disappointing knowing my more expensive guitars don't bury it.

Just not for me......

So I needed a guitar for practice...again..because it had been about 10 years since I had a guitar last which was an Ibanez. The problem is this, the tremolo bar where the strings sit. Now, back in the day I had an Ibanez and it was really good, I think an RG something, i forget. Anyway, on the model I had, the tremolo bridge was I guess glued down, meaning no whammy bar action, which I prefer bends or a pedal for said effect. Before the Ibanez I had for forever I used mostly les paul style guitars with no tremolo action at all, so restringing was a breeze and you can easily feel the tension in the strings, making it really easy to string and tune and fast too. The problem with the Ibanez is that the tremolo bar keeps the guitar out of tune really bad. I mean hitting the strings for a few chords just detunes it, like lower than Alice In Chains tuning, if you know what I mean. So, when you go to string it, if your not careful, you can pull up the tremolo bridge and over tune the strings and break them very easily. All in all if you like that and the Floyd Rose style bridges then you are in luck but if your like me and like it a little simple, go with a guitar with no tremolo function. P.S. I would like to add, other than tuning and stringing, the guitar is perfect, it is so dang pretty it's rediculas and it sound(ed) nice when I could play it and feels great. The 3 stars is a MY preference kind of thing, there is 100% nothing wrong with this bad *** guitar if you like the features.

    Really solid setup off the shelf, great tone, action is low, neck is on the slim side. If you want a reverse fretboard metal guitar this is my choice for the money!

    I'm an above average guitar player but ever since I've started my guitar journey I have always wanted an Ibanez. Finally got one and it does not disappoint at all! It feels great sounds amazing and I cannot stop playing it almost daily!
