As a new guitarist who primarily plays electric guitar, I wanted to buy an acoustic so I could practice without an amp and to help with songwriting and exploring new ideas. I went to my local Guitar Center with the intention to purchase a Yamaha F335 but decided to spend about 45 minutes picking up every acoustic in the ~$200 price range. Let me tell you I'm glad I spent some time to try some other options. No shade to the various Yamahas, Fenders, Epiphones, etc but I felt like this Ibanez had the best feel in hand. It felt like a more expensive instrument in hand than the other guitars in this price range and the action felt pretty close to what I'd like out of the box. Picking up this guitar made me immediately want to strum nonstop and sing along. Another plus was the inclusion of a tuner and an output for connecting to a speaker or PA system which inspired confidence that this guitar can grow with me as I think about performing for others or recording. All in all, I am extremely happy with the fit and finish and overall performance of this guitar. It feels like a quality instrument that is more than the sum of its parts and price tag and something I can grow with as I improve as an artist.
