Ibanez SR300EB 4-String Electric Bass Guitar Walnut Flat

Description
The Ibanez SR300EB 4-string electric bass guitar is a testament to Ibanez's dedication to innovation and quality. As part of the iconic SR series, which has been a favorite among bassists for over 30 years, the SR300EB offers a modern alternative with its smooth, fast neck, lightweight body and perfectly matched electronics. Whether you're a seasoned professional or just starting your musical journey, the SR300EB is ready to inspire your creativity and elevate your bass playing.
5-Piece Maple/Walnut Neck and Jatoba Fretboard for Superior Playability
The SR300EB features a 5-piece maple/walnut neck that delivers exceptional stability and tonal clarity. This neck is designed for speed and comfort, allowing for effortless transitions across the fretboard. The jatoba fretboard adds a touch of warmth and richness to the bass's tone, while its smooth surface ensures a comfortable playing experience. The combination of the 5-piece neck and jatoba fretboard creates a responsive and dynamic playing experience that's perfect for both intricate techniques and powerful grooves.
PowerSpan Dual Coil Pickups and 3-band EQ for Versatile Tonal Control
This Ibanez electric bass is equipped with PowerSpan Dual Coil pickups, designed to deliver a powerful and articulate sound with a wide range of tonal possibilities. The exposed pole pieces produce a stronger signal and increase the response of the higher frequencies without sacrificing low-end punch. The result is a tone that's rich in harmonic detail and dynamic expression. The Ibanez Custom Electronics 3-band EQ allows for further tone shaping, with a versatile range of bass, mid and treble frequencies to dial in your perfect sound.
Accu-cast B120 Bridge and 3-way Power Tap Switch for Enhanced Performance
The SR300EB features an Accu-cast B120 bridge, designed to provide exceptional stability and intonation. The extra-wide string slots can accommodate even the heaviest of gauges, while the bridge plate's unique design ensures perfect directional uniformity for optimal string vibration transfer. The 3-way Power Tap switch adds another dimension of tonal versatility, allowing you to choose between a rich humbucker sound, a pure single-coil sound or an enhanced single-coil sound with added low end from the humbucker.
Lightweight and Comfortable Design for Effortless Playing
The SR300EB is designed for effortless playing and comfort. The lightweight nyatoh body provides a balanced feel and reduces fatigue during extended playing sessions. The smooth neck heel and contoured body shape further enhance the guitar's ergonomics, making it a joy to play, whether you're practicing at home or performing on stage.

I just started playing bass almost a year ago. I started off with a p-bass, but have to sell it because it was too much on my back. Bought a Spector, liked it better. Bought this Ibanez and wow! Pickups are quiet and sound great! The feel is great, playability is great, yes there is a fret buzz... Tweak the truss rod and action, it's gone. I play this more than my Spector. Great bass for the money!
Good Bass..fret buzz, but easily fixed.

Solid fit and finish for the price. Good quality. Had minor fret buzz on the E string, but I was easily able to take care of it without any issues. Really like the black on black look. Plays smooth.

This is my first ever bass and it made me fall in love with playing it. The material used for the neck feels more comfortable to me than other basses I've tried out in stores and the 24 frets is a major plus when it comes to playing. I was recommended Ibanez by a friend and they were not wrong to do so! (It also just looks so cool on its own).
Love it!

would this bass guitar be good for lower tunings?
It would be no better or worse than any other. No 4 bass is "designed" to down tune .
