They're perfect for recording musicians, producers, podcasters and vloggers, as well as professional audio engineers seeking an accurate portable reference with Bluetooth streaming. The monitors feature sleek, elegant designs with compact form factors, making stunning statements in any studio while conserving valuable work space. Creative professionals, music lovers and anyone who wants the flexibility to stream both wired and wireless sound into high-quality studio monitors can count on JBL 104-BT to provide an accurate, reliable sonic reference and a truly enjoyable listening experience.

Trust the Transparency

Great mixes start with honest mix references. With JBL 104-BT, you’ll hear the content you’ve created in true clarity and detail, with none of the coloration that can compromise your mix decisions. 104-BTs are optimized for desktop placement, and their smooth off-axis response means you can reference your mixes confidently across a wide sweet spot.

Pro Performance, Scaled to Size

The world’s top recording studios and touring artists rely on JBL Professional monitors to deliver unparalleled fidelity and performance. With the 1 Series, JBL has optimized that technology in their smallest form factor ever. The 104-BT Reference Monitor’s innovative coaxial driver design features a high-frequency driver aligned with a woofer cone precisely contoured to deliver accurate response, exceptional detail and impressive off-axis performance. The result: neutral, accurate sound, anywhere. The cabinet’s precisely contoured low-frequency port works with the driver to deliver powerful, tight bass at any volume level.

The Bluetooth Advantage

The 104-BT offers the convenience of Bluetooth streaming, which gives audio engineers the ability to check their mixes over Bluetooth to ensure they translate well to common listening scenarios.

Streamline Your Sessions

JBL 104-BT Reference Monitors integrate smoothly into any production workspace, thanks to smart features like a front-panel input control that selects Bluetooth, AUX, RCA, TRS or combines all inputs—quickly check references or switch easily between tasks like playing back your tracks and staying attentive to phone notifications. Or, select all inputs for a simplified experience. Front-panel volume control allows convenient level adjustments without straying from the sweet spot, and a front-panel headphone jack automatically mutes the speakers, giving you isolation in one simple step. And, JBL 104-BT Reference Monitors’ dual 1/4" balanced, dual RCA and single 1/8" inputs accommodate a wide range of signal sources.

Extremely disappointed even at the sale price. My JBL clip4 has more bass...really weak speakers. Returning ASAP, used for 3 minutes before I made my decision. HARD PASS

    • Great sound for the price!

I'm giving these four stars because I also own a pair of JBL 305p MkII monitors. The sound quality of these is excellent, but the MkII's is clearly better. That said, given the size of the 104s and the various methods of connectivity these monitors offer, they are well worth the price of admission. I needed a slightly smaller set of monitors for a new desk setup, and these fit the bill perfectly without sacrificing (too much) sound quality. What's missing, sound-wise, with these? The range isn't quite as robust. Basses aren't quite as deep; highs aren't quite as vibrant, but mid-range (to my ear) is excellent. If you can afford the MkIIs and have the space, go for those, but you will not be sacrificing much by going with the 104s. They are really excellent speakers overall. The other reason for four stars, however, is that these speakers have a built-in feature that you apparently cannot disable, and that is that they will go into low-power mode if they don't detect a certain line voltage. I've found this feature to be *really* annoying. Sometimes, I have music on while I'm working, and I want it at a low volume. However, the speakers are not detecting enough voltage and are dropping into sleep mode. It's not a huge deal, as I can turn the volume up slightly; it's just a matter of figuring out where the magic line is when I want background music on while I'm working without blowing my ears off at the same time. In future version of these, I'd recommend that the minimum voltage is dropped (I think it's currently 3.something volts) or (even better) provide a way to enable/disable the feature.

These are far from professional level monitors, I would not even buy them and computer monitors. The bluetooth disconnects and the sound quality is very imbalanced and muddy, both on the low and and high end of the frequency. Their customer service is lazy, unresponsive and lie just to get rid of you. I called them more that 10 times just to get forwarded to Herman, and they are in no rush to assist, considering these were purchased less than 3 months had these issues since the beginning. Purchase from another brand if you have respect for your time and value your money, because JBL doesn't, not one bit…

The sound quality of these speakers is incredible, but they suffer from trying to be too many different things at once. They don't really work as general listening or computer speakers – the sound is too flat and just nowhere near as immersive as you could get from other options at the same price-point; your ears will be left wanting. They *also* don't really work as hi-fi or monitor speakers, due to the absence of bass (which is very noticeable). I thought these would be a decent substitute for the 305s, which were out of stock, but I was pretty disappointed. I would suggest if you are looking for monitors even at the intro level to just save up for something slightly more expensive.

Installed the 104-BT's 8-6-20. Just regular sound was bassy but I adjusted the EQ lows down a little and increased the highs and the sound quality was GREAT. Very pleased with the purchase.

    • Great studio reference monitors.

These are some of the best speakers I've ever owned. They are amazing for listening to music casually or using them as serious studio monitors when creating music.
