The Jackson MJ Series | Jackson Presents | Jackson Guitars

Description
The Jackson MJ Series Soloist SL2 delivers a quintessential metal tone and effortless shreddability. Engineered in Japan with fastidious craftsmanship, this solidbody electric guitar features an alder body with comfortable contours, a maple neck and an ebony fingerboard with a 12"–16" compound radius for bend-friendly low action. The SL2's Seymour Duncan JB SH-4 bridge humbucker erupts with molten distortion and punchy lows, while the Seymour Duncan Jazz SH-2N neck humbucker glows with crisp highs and scooped mids—controlled via a 3-way toggle switch and volume and tone knobs.
Virtuoso Performance
A guitar built for the demands of high-velocity rock and metal, the SL2's compound radius ebony fingerboard, 24 jumbo frets and Luminlay side dots facilitate rapid solos, tapping passages and whammy bar theatrics. Its maple neck is reinforced by dual graphite rods for maximum stability, while the Gotoh GE1996T double-locking tremolo bridge keeps the SL2 in tune through the most radical dive bombs and squeals.
Iconic Style
The SL2's alder body is available in Snow White or Gloss Black finishes, with a pointed 6-in-line headstock and pearloid sharkfin inlays that evoke the unmistakable Jackson esthetic of the early '90s. Black hardware, including Gotoh die-cast tuners and Dunlop strap locks, completes the metal-ready look.
Road-Ready Construction
Built in Japan to exacting standards, the SL2 features a sleek, contoured alder body, a reinforced 3-piece maple neck and an ebony fingerboard for exceptional tone, comfort and durability. With premium components like Seymour Duncan pickups, Gotoh hardware and Dunlop strap locks, this solidbody electric is ready to withstand the rigors of the road.

This is a very high quality guitar. The guitar did not need a setup and the frets are level. The Gotoh 1996T is much better than the FR 1500 series. I also got a great deal on this guitar. It had a few surface scratches that I can live with for the deal I got. Awesome guitar.
