    I love this piece! I had a 6M as my main alto piece several years ago. Eventually moved on to some other mouthpieces (& horns). After settling in on my P. Mauriat 67R I tried several brand mouthpieces (metal, hard rubber, even plastic). After trying my 6M on it I was pleasantly surprised. Something told me to order a 7M and.... Bam! Perfect set sup! It plays warm, but with enough edge & projection for anything that I'll need to do. It can play smooth jazz, R&B, funk, jazz, whatever. Easy to play all the way from low b flat to as high as I can go. I use Legere Signature Series reeds (2 1/4) an Oleg ligature (I tried pretty much every lig & the Oleg wins for this piece) & I've never sounded better on an alto sax.
