LP

collapse expand iconDescription

The LP Aspire Accents Cajon Blueburst Streak. This visually stunning cajon from Latin Percussion combines a bold finish with enhanced sound control for drummers and percussionists looking to add flair to their setup. The Aspire Accents Cajon delivers a wide range of tones perfect for any musical style.

Adjustable Front Panel Provides Customizable Sounds

The Aspire Accents Cajon's hardwood front panel can be tightened or loosened with screws to dramatically alter the drum's tone and response. Tighten the panel for a focused, articulate sound ideal for delicate playing, or loosen it for a open, resonant tone that projects in any venue. With this level of tonal adaptability, the Aspire Accents Cajon can complement any genre from flamenco to fusion.

Internal Snare Wires Add Rhythmic Nuance

Three sets of DW snare wires within the Aspire Accents Cajon's birch and poplar body provide a spectrum of rhythmic colors. Engage all three sets of wires for a crisp, articulate response, use two for a balanced blend of tone and snare or disengage the wires altogether for a pure bass cajon. The Aspire Accents Cajon's snare wires make it a remarkably musical hand drum for drum set players and percussionists alike.

Stunning Blueburst Streak Finish

The Aspire Accents Cajon's 3-step Blueburst Streak finish is a work of art. The graduated blue tones make a bold visual statement on stage that matches the cajon's equally bold acoustic voice. Rounding out the Aspire Accents Cajon's striking design are a textured top surface for enhanced playing comfort and large rubber feet to prevent slipping during intense performances.

Accessible Dimensions and Superior Value

Standing 17-1⁄4" tall with a 12" width, the Aspire Accents Cajon is comfortably sized for players of all ages while retaining a full, resonant tone. With high-end features and a stunning custom finish, the Aspire Accents Cajon is an exceptional value.

Playing outside the box

If you are going to spend $140 for a wooden box ? this is a solid choice. And, if drumming doesn't work out for you, it makes a good-looking end table. The snare sounds are crisp and the bass tones distinct and clear. It is well-constructed, lightweight and the large rubber feet are a plus. This model ended a year-long quest to find the cajon that was just right. While I still love my hand drums, this instrument adds a great deal of versatility to my percussion repertoire, blending well with a wide variety of music styles. I won't be getting the ?natives are restless? comments that I get when I play my doumbeks. The cajon is a wonderful ?poor man's? drum kit. Though I was tempted to buy online to save the sales tax, it seemed a bit too weaselly after taking advantage of the establishment's (Guitar Center) accessibility. It's good to support your local music store. An important bonus of buying on site is the ability to inspect your instrument. I've read a fair number of reviews that listed construction problems with the various types of cajons that were received. I highly recommend the LP Aspire Accents Cajon.

Not worth it

snare has a very bad "spring like" sound. it might be ok for some if it was a $50 but at close to $200 I expect a half way decent sound. I received it as a gift but will be returning it.

Sounds great. No issues. I'm a little perplexed by the wood, as the label on mine says all maple. I'm guessing it's maple ply on the box, and solid maple on the strike plate. Paint is three coats, 1st cream, then they streaked on some black with a comb, then spray on edges. Looks!

Beautiful red finish to match my Gretsch Deep Cherry Burst kit on stage. Mellow low end and much snare sensitivity at low volumes, but can also "bark" when layed into and with accompanying pedal.

  • Good Quality Good Sound

Very quality and sound. Only issue is that I hear the snares vibrating on the bass tones.

  • Great cajon for the money. Great overall sound.

Bought this drum a couple months back. I absolutely love the sound. The deep tone is crisp and sounds great acoustically or mic'd up. Well worth the price.
