I have been playing over 30 years and have played the less expensive & the very top of the line EXPENSIVE lines of Pearl Meinl & all others . And I can honestly state that. If you chose a top line head and tune them correctly you can make almost any one of them sound the same. There has been little or no difference in all my years. The only difference has been My LP Galaxy Series & Meinl Woodcraft series are three times the price as the Rubber Tree models Like the Matador & Performance series . And I all of them to sound the same.

  • Sound just as beautiful as they look

Unquestionably some of the finest instruments I've ever played. Now if I could just get LP to make a super-tumba in this series, I'd be exceedingly grateful.

  • It's the better conga I know

I bought a quinto and want to buy a tumba. But I can't because it's not available. I don't understand why the stores work with the maker stock instead of having their own stock in one place

  • Average good conga

What makes this set OK is that it is Ash, still made in Thailand. It is stave and is "seamless' because the inner staves are puttied. So much for "solid wood" and continuous resonance. This is the counterpart of the Giovanni bongos which are solid and not the usual rubberwood. Typical mediocre and not uniform LP skins which needs replacing if you are at all discrimating. OK bongs and congos but nothing special for "top of the line". Also overpriced.

Although I have had the LP 40th Anniversary series conga drums for 9 years, the LP Galaxy Giovanni series are a major step up in sound. I wasn't sure if it was worth the investment but there is no question. Less ringing and a more full sound with greater projection. I was skeptical as to whether the Requinto would make a difference but it is truly magical and is a must for the set. I wish I bought these a long time ago!

I have ordered this product, unfortunately, I am not an expert on the subject.
Is this a set of 4 or you have to buy separate, I mean one by one?
I received only one, I was waiting for so long to assume that you have to buy them separately.
I have 12 1/2 & I do not know which one should I get now to match, please help!
Thanks in advance.
