This is a great drum for practice and performance! Although it doesn't produce any bass tone due to the lack of a shell, it is well worth the money if you're traveling a lot and need a conga that literally fits in your backpack. I'm going to be using it for street performances and practice. If you want to add it to your real conga set it also works great, just not as a quinto. I would only use it in a regular setup as a conga.

This thing is amazing, i do have 3 regular congas, and I put this one as a 4th, and it sounds better then my Aspires, except for the COMPLETE absence of bass tones, seriously, this thing produces NO bass tones. But what can you expect? Its a head and thats about it. This thing is just perfect, through it in your suite case or backpack, and take it ANYWHERE. Its very comfortable to play while sitting criss-cross on a floor. But if you are just sitting in a chair and you put it on your lap, it does dampin it. But that can be an advatage! When you want to be more quite if you are in somewhere like a hotel or dorm rooms, then you just set it on your lap to play and its not as loud!!! Even its disadvantages have advantages! It is great quality, a little over priced, but they had to stay up there with the pearl travel conga. over all, AMAZING, REVOLUTIONARY, EPICFUL, & CONVENENT!!! BUT IT!!!!

I was hoping a product like this would come out soon. I like the fact that is compact and can be added to a drum kit. I do agree that the price is a little high, but it is a great instrument. I am planning of purchising one very soon. I only wish there were more sizes. To have a complete conga set would be great and easy to travel.
