Professionals tend to prefer Signature Series reeds, which produce a warm, rich tone in all registers. Signature Series reeds are made from a stiffer material and are cut thinner than Classic reeds. These changes make the Signature Series reeds more flexible across the tip, producing a full spectrum of overtones and a beautiful sound with minimum effort.

No matter which reed you choose you always get the same Légère quality and the durability Légère has become famous for. All Légère reeds are offered in ¼ strengths and Légère is the only manufacturer to offer an Exchange of Strength policy.

    I had to use plastic reeds for marching band in college and was skeptical of all synthetic reeds. I had seen a few artist using the Legere reeds and thought I'd give it a whirl. I'd recommend giving them a try. Keep in mind they need to be lined up just right or they will not work. They respond differently than bamboo reeds and you will need to adjust your air flow a little. I personally like the tone and will continue to use them, but I don't know that they will completely replace my bamboo classical reeds.
