A very unique ride. I would not categorize it as "Jazz" exclusively albeit a very low volume ride as you would expect from this Byzance series. You can crash it for a washy/low-mid sustain accents and it sounds phenomenal. The bell is rather small but still has a respectable "ping" to it that works well for me as a right-side ride/crash being that I play left/open-handed and have a main Byzance Serpents ride on the left side. On that note - they actually work surprisingly well together when doing some triplets and bounces on both rides. And lastly - the thing just looks beautiful!
