this rug is cool, it does the job. if your drum set isnt moving while you're bashing on it then heck yeah, what more can you really ask for. unless you're all about luxury and want gold plated trim or some bull like that. clearly takes a zebra tone which i like. its not so plain. goes great if you have a white drum set. the rubber is crazy good. and knowing its rubber to make it even more effective just scartch it which i havent done, thats if you wanna go all crazy and think its not going to handle the job which it does. get it

The colors run if you get it wet!
I have the oriental style. I saw some reviews that said don't get it wet. "How bad could it be?" I said. The answer is pretty bad. I did a gig last weekend and the back end of the rug got exposed to water. Check out the photo. Not only did the color run, but it created a hideous blue mess. My hands were totally covered in blue ink after packing it up. And it was dripping blue mess everywhere. I'm sure someone looked at the stage area the next day and said "what the heck happened here?" Fortunately I had a tarp to wrap it in keep it from ruining my vehicle's interior on the drive home! The other issue is the velcro strap. If you look closely at the photo you'll see that the hook and loop are on opposite sides when the rug is rolled up. That means you can't latch the velcro strap. I don't know if this poor quality control or poor design, but either way, it stinks. If you're going to have a velcro strap, it should latch. The rug itself looked good until it got wet. Now it looks like a mess. It's plenty big, which is what I wanted. But it isn't practical to have a drum rug that the colors run and leaves behind a mess. As much as I wanted a rug of this size and with this look, I can't recommend the Meinl. One star.

I love the aesthetics of this rug easy to use after you get the memory out from being rolled up,I guess the only complaint that I would have is that it has a velcro strap on one side that keeps the rug tight rolled when it's packaged and the strap is hard to hide once it's in use!!! Otherwise five stars
It's a rug. But it's a good rug.

Rug was shipped quickly and arrived in perfect condition. Stays securely positioned on our concrete floor and is much better than the beach towel we used before. The family drummer also loves the graphics on the rug!! Overall, it has been an A+++ Addition to our drummers kit.

Will it work on a carpeted floor?
It's not meant for it. A lot will depend on the thickness of the carpetsubmitted5 years ago

Are the corners weighted?
They are slightly weighted, but the main part that holds them in place is the rubber underside.submitted7 years ago
