collapse expand iconDescription

Meinl's HCS 20" Ride Cymbal provides an affordable yet high-quality upgrade for drummers looking to improve their sound. Crafted in Germany from durable MS63 brass alloy, the HCS Ride Cymbal delivers a bright, clean tone with a pronounced ping and articulate bell suited for a variety of music styles. Its medium weight and traditional finish give it a professional appearance, allowing drummers to achieve an authentic sound and look right out of the box. Meinl is proud to offer the HCS Ride Cymbal, an ideal solution for students, hobbyists and gigging drummers on a budget.

Crisp, Defined Tone

The HCS Ride Cymbal projects a crisp, full-bodied tone with a strong ping and clear bell. Its medium thickness and traditional lathing techniques produce a bright, warm sound that cuts through mixes. When played on the shoulder, it yields powerful accents, while riding through choruses results in a clean, sustained wash. The HCS Ride Cymbal's versatile sound suits drummers playing rock, pop, jazz or other styles.

High-Quality, Durable Construction

Despite its affordability, the HCS Ride Cymbal is crafted to professional standards using Meinl's decades of experience. Its MS63 brass alloy, composed of 63% copper and 37% zinc, provides an optimal combination of tone, durability and value. The cymbal's traditional finish and medium weight give it a professional appearance and feel, with grooves and hammering that aid in sound projection and control unwanted overtones. Built to withstand the demands of regular practice and performance, the HCS Ride Cymbal has a lifespan exceeding that of comparable beginner cymbals.

Complete Your Kit

Part of Meinl's HCS series, the 20" Ride Cymbal complements a wide range of HCS crashes, hi-hats, splashes and other effects cymbals. Drummers can create a coordinated, professional-sounding setup at an affordable price by choosing from the broad selection of sizes and sounds in the HCS line. The HCS Ride Cymbal also pairs well with most drum sets, especially Meinl's HCS Drum Packs.

Unbeatable Value

Meinl's HCS Ride Cymbal offers professional-caliber construction and tone at a student-friendly price. Drummers receive a high-performance upgrade over stock cymbals included with most drum sets, gaining an authentic ride cymbal to complete their kit. The HCS Ride Cymbal's combination of sound, durability and affordability provides unparalleled value for beginner and intermediate drummers.

The cymbal is part of a TAMA Club/Jazz kit and is surprisingly big for that set.

All my cymbals are Meinl HCS and they've never let me down. The price and quality is perfect. Compared to other inexpensive cymbals these are the Rolls Royce in that category. Definitely recommend buying to anyone, beginner or expert.
