Just amazing. Overall well rounded sounding djembe

I don't understand the 2 star review on here. Coming from a 15 year drumming background and several years in sound engineering. I've tried many djembes at guitar center and by far this was one of the best overall sounding ones (the 12"). With crisp high notes, deep full warm bass sound. The skin texture also allows to simulate brush like sounds. Very light to carry and comes at a great price. Yes, this is not a true native West African wood djembe, but nonetheless, it sounds amazing.
Solid Djembe.

Great sound and look. This is a well made djembe and I am a fan that it can withstand a bit of weather. Do not think it sounds cheap or like a toy bongo. Tested this djembe as well as well as a few others in the store including a remo. This djembe had the best sound for the price and also looks pretty sweet. Happy with it
It's a fancy toy bongo, not a djembe.

First off, it's made of some weird plastic, not wood. Second, the head is a very cheap synthetic instead of skin or anything else that it should be. Third, the ropes are designed so you can't tune it correctly. You can add tension to the head, but you can't make the diamonds or do anything else with it. So what you get is this really high pitched bongo sound instead of a true djembe sound. It looks fancy, has the rustafarian colors that people like, but it's simply an expensive bongo toy.
