5 String Bass, Full Time gigs. Studio sessions. I have purchased 4 sets of the MB advanced series "Stainless" 45-130 over the last 3 months. The low B's from 2 of the those sets were not as bright as they should be, the other 2 sets were perfect. But, at $50 a set I expected longer life when compared to other medium to high end bass strings I've tried tons of other brands over the years. The tone and tension is very consistent and bright overall, but not harsh. The tone is similar to nickel wound midrange which is a plus.
