#Sweepstakes Paired with with the markbass amp head, the sound is very loud and clean and makes my walls vibrate. It's super light.

This is comically light at 23lbs, which made me skeptical about the sound quality initially, but it won me over in seconds. It is extremely vibrant and really brings out the characteristics of my amp and the nuance of my playing. I'll absolutely consider buying the 15" version soon.

  • Sorry I had to take it back

I kept this for 2 before I returned it. It sounded great in the store and had the best slap tone of any Markbass I played. I returned it because it lacked the bottom needed for my 5 string at practice levels. The weight of this easily sold me on this. I wanted to love it but it couldn't fulfill my needs so it was returned.

An upgrade to the old 210's, I finally found the highs on Markbass cabs that I've been looking for!

  • Nice for pairing. As a standalone, just okay.

I bought this to pair with the 1x15 MB58R 151 ENERGY, which I bought through Guitar Center several months earlier, when playing larger rooms. Pairing the two cabinets, I'm very happy. This MB58R Pure 2x10 adds some highs I like and helps drive my overall sound. I've used the cabinet on its own a couple times for rehearsals, and I have to say I'm a little underwhelmed by the lack of low end. Again, I expected this, knowing I was buying a 2x10 cabinet that wasn't ported (I also own an older ported 2x10 from Mark Bass. The low end difference is very obvious). So, if you're looking to pair this with a 1x15, go for it without hesitating. If you're thinking of using it on its own in a setting where you want low end, I'd recommend going a different direction, such as a ported cab or a 1x15.
