Thought I would try something different, and I am so disappointed. Maybe I got a bad batch, or maybe all their strings are bad. My E string just sounds dead. I got these to put on my Fender American Ultra 2 (4 string) jazz bass to replace the out of box strings. I have left them on for about a month in case a break in period was necessary. However, the out of box strings on the bass sounded a ton better than these, too bad I took them off properly by cutting them, or I would have slapped them back on (get it slapped, because it's a bass). Just total junk, I would use worse words, but want to make sure this actually makes it on the site.

These are excellent Strings; Articulate, coherent, nice definition of notes with slight grind and a bright warmth [no Zing] fresh out of package. I have been using them on my Fender American Ultra Precision for over 8 months now [15-20hrs week] and tone has held, they stay in tune and 'Soft Feel' claim on package is accurate. Tension is medium tight for Hex Core giving a solid feel but also pliable for bending.
