McPherson

collapse expand iconDescription

The McPherson Carbon Series Touring acoustic-electric guitar with black hardware delivers exceptional response and depth, along with the signature McPherson resonance and long-lasting sustain in this unique, all-carbon fiber instrument. Carbon fiber does not expand, contract or warp when exposed to temperature or humidity changes, producing stable and consistently clear tone no matter where you are—plus its 3/4 size makes it ultra-convenient for traveling. With an offset soundhole, cantilevered neck and patented bracing system, the soundboard is able to vibrate to its fullest potential. The Carbon Series Touring guitar boasts warm, punchy low end and balance throughout the fingerboard. The smooth matte feel of the C-shaped carbon fiber neck ensures endless comfort and smooth playability. Additional appointments include Gotoh 510 precision tuners, a composite nut and saddle, EVO frets and an L.R. Baggs Element pickup. Comes with a custom fit case.

It does sound great for Carbon Fiber although this is my first. Recently bought a Martin D18 Modern Deluxe and it was only 500 more than this guitar. For a 3/4 size guitar it sounds good ….. way better than Martin or Taylor travel size guitars. It looks amazing and I do love it, however for the price I would think the pick up would be better. I'm not a fan of Piezo pickups. I would prefer maybe the HiFi. Recording with it with mic it don't sound bad but with pickup it's a no for me. Main reason for purchase was travel guitar that sounds great and was carbon…. No doubt McPherson is the best.
