I love that I can pop into Guitar Center and grab any Mogami cables I may need. The great thing about Mogami (beside their superior sound and durability) is their lifetime warranty and how I really only need to buy each cable once as their customer support team is excellent. For me at least, paying a bit more for quality now and not paying for a replacement later is the way to go.

Mogami cables are really all I use. If you want to never worry about replacing cables or poor shielding then super worth it to spend the extra money upfront for that peace of mind.
I would buy this again

does this connect to camera mic like a rode microphone
A Mogami Gold Studio 1/4" to XLR Male cable has a ¼-inch TRS (Tip-Ring-Sleeve) plug on one end and a male XLR connector on the other. Most Rode camera microphones (like the Rode VideoMic series) use either: A 3.5mm TRS mini-jack output (small headphone-style plug) — OR An XLR output (on higher-end Rode mics like the Rode NTG3 or NTG5, etc.). If your Rode mic has a mini 3.5mm output (like many camera mics), NO, the Mogami cable you mentioned would not directly connect — the connectors are incompatible. If your Rode mic has a standard XLR output (like some professional shotgun mics), maybe, but even then the cable you're asking about (¼" TRS to XLR Male) isn't ideal. Most cameras and recorders want a female XLR input from a mic, not a ¼" TRS. For a typical camera Rode mic, you'd usually need: 3.5mm TRS cable for consumer-grade cameras. XLR Female to XLR Male cable for pro-level XLR shotgun mics into pro cameras or recorders.submitted4 months ago

Would this be good as a guitar cable? Playing a Taylor acoustic/electric, need to run a cable from a TC-Helicon Play Acoustic to a Roland guitar amp.
This cable would be a good choice and work well for this type of application.
