My initial impression of these Mullard reissues are favorable. I installed these in a Marshall 1959 SLP (circa 1996) which were replacing the standard JJ EL34's. The Mullards have a warmer, smoother, fuller tone and are more even across the frequency spectrum compared to the JJ's. One of the tubes was drawing about 3-4 ma more current than the others, so they were not all perfectly matched. Also, the Mullards drew significantly more current compared to the JJ's in my Marshall and I could not get them into a 60-70% bias range without a bias resistor change. Except for the biasing issues, these are great tubes and may be even better once they have more hours on them.
