The Nord Electro 6D digital piano combines vintage character, modern performance tools and signature Nord craftsmanship in a sleek, stage-ready design. Ideal for gigging musicians, producers and studio players alike, the Electro 6D offers immediate access to Nord's acclaimed piano, organ and sample libraries, all packed into a portable chassis with iconic red styling, a tactile interface and semi-weighted waterfall keys. Whether you're laying down soulful B3 organ lines, classic electric piano textures or rich acoustic grand tones, the Electro 6D delivers stunning sonic realism with intuitive control. Features like Split and Layer modes, onboard effects and physical drawbars give you the flexibility to adapt instantly to any musical context. Available in 61- and 73-key versions, the Nord Electro 6D is a powerful creative tool designed to inspire on every stage and in every session.

Iconic Pianos and Organs From Nord's Flagship Libraries

At the heart of the Electro 6D are the acclaimed Nord Piano Library and C2D organ engine, offering a wide array of handpicked sounds with rich dynamic response. From grand and upright pianos to classic electric pianos and clavinets, each sample has been carefully curated for tonal depth and character. The organ section features detailed emulations of the B3 tonewheel, VOX and Farfisa transistor organs, along with two pipe organ models—all controllable with intuitive drawbars for real-time expression. Each sound engine includes dedicated volume faders and selectable split points, giving you the flexibility to craft complex patches or keep it simple for solo playing.

Split and Layer Modes for Creative Arrangements

Designed for real-world performance, the Electro 6D includes essential tools to enhance your creative flexibility. Split mode allows you to assign different sounds to upper and lower zones, ideal for combining bass and lead parts or pianos and pads. Layer mode lets you blend two instruments across the full key range for a rich, unified tone. The onboard transpose function shifts the pitch up or down by up to one octave, making it easy to accommodate different vocal ranges or collaborate with other musicians. These features are instantly accessible, streamlining your workflow during live sets or recording sessions.

Semi-Weighted Action With Hands-On Control

The Electro 6D's semi-weighted waterfall keybed offers a comfortable and responsive playing experience, ideal for fast organ licks, expressive piano parts or synth layering. The front panel gives you direct access to effects, layering, EQ and sound selection—no menu diving required. The bright OLED display keeps you oriented on stage, while dedicated knobs and buttons let you tweak parameters in real time. Whether you're adjusting reverb depth, switching between drawbar presets or dialing in the perfect rotary speaker tone, the Electro 6D keeps control immediate and musical.

Lightweight Build, Heavyweight Performance

Compact and road-ready, the Electro 6D features Nord's signature red chassis—rugged enough for touring, light enough for daily travel. Weighing in under 20 lb., it's easy to move between gigs, rehearsals and studio sessions without sacrificing sound quality or performance. Built with premium components and a sturdy enclosure, the Electro 6D offers reliable operation night after night. Its sleek, streamlined design pairs form and function, making it a favorite among keyboardists who demand high-end sounds and hands-on control in a portable package.

It been a while since I bought a gigging keyboard, this thing is the truth. The B3 sounds, the piano patches, I just have to figure out all of the bells and whistles. I've just been trying to find patches that will get me through a show. Right now I'm a little overwhelmed.

This is my first Nord product, so I do have a learning curve to be able to master it. I love the sounds of the organ section especially the Leslie effect. The piano sounds are nice but they tend to be a little nasal, I am sure I can fix that when I hook it up to the mixer. The effects are nice especially the flute snd violin. Saxophone sounds are average. I wish they had buttons to access each instrument. It would tremendously help during live gigs. I hate that I have to scroll through 200 sounds to find the one I want. I guess I could remember the number of the sounds that I am looking for. It is very light for 73 keys and has the frame of a 61 key keyboard. The semi hammer keys are great for organ playing.

  • Awesome as advertised

I use it for entertainment and recording - I don't gig, but it was designed for live performances. Highly realistic sounds as advertised. Don't be scared of the controls- YouTube videos will make it a breeze to understand. Easy to carry! The 6D's "Waterfall" keyboard action pushes back as a spring might - took some getting used to if you normally use high-end weighted keys (get the 6HP for that feel). INCREDIBLE VALUE when compared to the Stage 3! I would recommend as long as you can afford it. No drum sounds if you are using it for recording - but plenty of very realistic instruments- check YouTube for demos - I found those to be accurate. Much better output levels than the Yamaha MX-88.
