This would be my second truss system purchased and based on how heavy it was when it shipped. I can tell the life that will last with this system especially for the lights that it will carry. I think the best feature here is the crank system only because trying to deal with pins and lifting the poles with 300 lbs of lights on them is difficult.
I would recommend this to any mobile DJ.

Very good quality for the money. Breaks down into a very small, movable package.
I would buy this product again .

Took a while to get there but ended up with this truss and it was well worth the effort. Started with a non-crank truss and quickly figured out that it's nearly impossible for one person to raise the truss up after lights have been installed. Returned the non-crank truss and bought the American DJ Crank II because it went higher and seemed to be heavier duty than the Odyssey (although the Odyssey is actually rated for more weight). Didn't even finish taking the Crank II out of the box before I realized that it was way too heavy. Also, the cable crank system only operates in the lifting direction and relies on gravity to lower it which is not good as one side can stick and then release, dropping the lights several inches before catching which seems to be pretty jarring on the lights. Returned the Crank II and finally bought the Odyssey - wish I had started there but really happy that I ended up with it. The cranks operate on a two way screw system and go up and down much easier than the Crank II. Significantly lighter than the Crank II and just as strong and stable. The 10' height is plenty. This is the one to buy hands down.

The Odyssey LTMTS1-PRO Lighting Truss System is a great start up truss system for bands just getting into lighting. WHile there were holes in the boxes when it arrived all of the parts were there. The unit is made in China and they have some unique ideas of assembly instructions but I was able to get it all together in about an hour and I'm not a real handy kind of guy. The unit works like a charm, looks good and is ligter than I expected. My 15 year old can hcary all the parts. I would buy the unit again.
Worth the money!

I bought this truss system 2 years back and have used it at least a hundred times! It has been reliable until just the other day, one of the cranks stopped working for good. The handles for the crank pop off quite easily, but I have used them without and it's been fine. I'm gonna buy another just like it
