Description
The Paiste PST X Swiss Thin Crash Cymbal, an affordable quality 18" crash cymbal is perfect for drummers of any skill level. Part of Paiste's PST X series of effect cymbals, the Swiss Thin Crash delivers a quick, responsive feel with a low, dirty wash that complements a variety of drum setups. Its distinctive Swiss cheese-like hole pattern provides an exotic, explosive character unlike any other crash on the market. The PST X Swiss Thin Crash infuses life into your drum sound.
Pure, Projecting Bell Delivers Sustaining Sound
At the heart of the Swiss Thin Crash is a pure bell of CuSn8 bronze, also known as 2002 bronze, which produces a warm yet cutting tone with a long sustain. The bell's design focuses the cymbal's sound and projects it powerfully, allowing the Swiss Thin Crash to cut through even the densest mixes.
Responsive, Versatile Performance
With its thin, silky surface and strategically placed holes, the Swiss Thin Crash offers quick responsiveness and a wide dynamic range. Its exotic trashy wash and short decay lend themselves equally well to rock, metal, punk and fusion styles, blending in beautifully with existing cymbals. The PST X Swiss Thin Crash's distinctive sound and appearance are sure to inspire new rhythmic ideas and take your drumming to the next level.
Roadworthy and Affordable
Like all cymbals in the PST X series, the Swiss Thin Crash is built to withstand the rigors of touring and practice. And at a price most drummers can afford, you no longer have to choose between tone and durability. Add a new dimension of expression to your playing today with the Paiste PST X Swiss Thin Crash Cymbal.

It sounds better than what I thought it would when I purchased it.it's a very durable cymbal especially for different types of genres of music.it definitely is a game changer and looks amazing on the drum set with the rest of your cymbals. So, if I had to choose to buy it again or not I definitely purchase it again no question.

I purchased this cymbal for a festival gig last night to replace my repurposed trash cymbal which is broken beyond repair. Kudos to the fella on Youtube who demonstrated how to Swiss your old cymbal...It ain't easy though! I read the reviews and listened to samples of the cymbals online and decided it was the best value for the money. I was not disappointed. This cymbal provides the three C's in spades. It cut through high band volume like a knife. It's tonal color and resonance was excellent regardless of how hard it was struck. And it's clarity rivaled all of my zildjian and sabian cymbals costing significantly more. I would highly recommend that you seriously consider buying this cymbal. I did not even sample its sound in the store but was pleasantly surprised all the way around. Mark

I needed something that was breathy, trashy, yet not exactly harsh, and this cymbal is what I needed. it's got a quick attack, quick decay, a white noise blast, but isn't brash or harsh and doesnt overpower or imbalance my other cymbals or drums. I can use this in most musical situations such as rock, pop, blues, jazz, etc - but I am sure it will fit in with metal and latin too. It's obviously b8 but it doesnt act like it. #sweepstakes

The perfect sound of an explosive crash with basically no sustain but that first smash...totally worth it.

The only reason I am not giving the Paist PSTX 18" Thin Swiss Crash a 5 is that it should be a hair thinner. I use it with PST 7 thin crashes (17" & 19"). The PSTX swiss is a little louder than its PST 7 cousins. Therefore, I have to baby it a bit. I like the fact, though, that I can get an excellent crash sound from the swiss crash with a relatively light strike.
Yes I would buy this product again.
