No reason not to buy!

I just picked up two of these mesh heads for my accoustic kit, and man, what a difference! Tunable mesh heads make practicing enjoyable to both myself and my neighbors. Plus, using them with drum triggers makes any accoustic kit your own personal V-drum set. Love 'em!

ok

at our church we decided to convert our drum kit to a digi kit. used these with ddrum triggers. sounded great, handled great but started to rip within a month. i guess they work well for more reserved players, but then again they aren't the ones that need to be quieted we found we could get the same effect by just filling the drum shells with linens and use normal heads. this is not as quiet but once everything is going, all you hear is the triggers anyway.

I purchased these pearl mesh heads for use in n my Ludwig Breakbeat set. I attached Roland triggers and have them going into a Roland TD-17. The heads trigger well and are responsive. They are very quiet as well. I'm using them on my toms and a 16" kick. No issues.

  • Your neighbors will love them.

I use these on my practice kit so I can still have friendly neighbors. I bought a full set for my 5 piece kit. I also put Remo Muffls under the heads just for a slightly more realistic feel and to take some of the bounce out. Now they feel very natural and I don't even notice they aren't my usual heads. I've been using these for a long time and the seem to be holding up very well. Next plan is to add some triggers and a processor to make an acoustic kit electronic and not have to spend $5+ Grand on a natural electronic kit.

  • good product - too much packaging

Needed mesh head for practice (live in a townhome) The head is fine - just wish they would have them in the store. Also - packaging for shipping war ridiculous - could have fit a... well, it was WAY oversized and a complete waste of resources. Good thing I recycle.

I purchased a cheap beginner kit, added these heads and put some foam inside the drum, I left the reso heads on as it retains just enough tone so they still sound like drums.

  • Great practice for the young drummer in your home.
