Clear sound. I purchased this one to replace an old TOA from the 90's. The tone is much better. I used it for a gig and it sounded great. I also used it to dj a large party. The trapezoid shape makes it easy to use as a stage monitor with one concern, watch for feedback from the large tweeter. We spun the tweeter away from the mic and now the drummer can hear at rehearsals. It uses 1/4" jacks with an output to chain if needed. I plan on getting a matching speaker after the next gig.

I just purchased 2 of these speakers and man these boxes sound awesome. The midrange frequencies are phenomenal, the bass is clean and punchy without the exaggerated boominess. I let my subs take care of that. When I set my crossover at 120HZ for these cabinets they sound so smooth and rich that I can pump much more than the recommended wattage requirements for them without clipping. These PV115's can really fill a room. I can't wait for the weather to break so that I can try them outdoors. I only have one bad thing to say about them and that is that they don't have speakon connectors. I modified the connector plate in the back of the cabinets to accommodate that. There is plenty of room on the connector plate to add a speakon connector, so much so that 2 speakon connectors can be added. Just keep in mind that doing so will probably void the warranty. I'm not really concerned with that because for the price that I paid and the reliability of Peavey products (5 year warranty when registered at their web site) this shouldn't be an issue.

I bought a pair of these for larger mobile DJ gigs and to back up my 12" Wharfdale Pro Titans. I've had them for less than a year but I can say they work great. They have the usual slight humming but other than that great sound. Some additions that would give it a 5 star review would be the addition of RCA inputs, another xlr/1/4" input, and low and high control.

bought one of these to replace a Yamaha that blew out. ended up buying a second and trading my Yamaha that wasn't blown for cash towards new cables. Best speakers I ever bought in this price range, can't go wrong with peavey. been using my set for over two years at loud volumes, large venues to small they handle it all (running off a mid 90's peavey cs800 amp)
