Promark

collapse expand iconDescription

Promark Rebound Balance FireGrain drum sticks in your choice of 5A, 5B an 5AB, crafted from flame-tempered North American hickory. Promark's patented FireGrain process hardens the wood through controlled flame exposure, producing sticks with unparalleled durability and consistency. The Rebound Balance FireGrain 5B sticks provide a medium thickness and weight for versatile playing in any style.

Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger

The flame-hardening process creates drum sticks that can withstand the punishment of intense practice and performance. While the wood remains rigid, it retains the familiar feel and rebound of natural hickory. The FireGrain 5B sticks are also precision balanced for enhanced control and speed around the kit.

Classic Hickory Feel, Modern Hickory Power

Hickory has been the wood of choice for drum sticks for generations thanks to its density, durability, and responsiveness. Promark's FireGrain technology amplifies these qualities, producing sticks that feel familiar but push the limits of traditional hickory. The flame-hardened wood provides extra punch and articulation without sacrificing the warmth and nuance hickory is known for.

Precision Balanced for Peak Performance

Promark individually tests and hand selects each Rebound Balance FireGrain stick to ensure the most responsive and balanced playing experience. The medium taper is designed for fast rebound and rapid double strokes. Paired with the flame-hardened wood, Rebound Balance provides an uncanny sense of control for blistering speed and power around the entire kit.

I use it to play drums in church, with my rock band, for personal practice, and to record drums. Sounds great, and plays amazing. My only criticism is that the wood tends to chip fairly quickly, but it has stayed intact longer than my other sticks I've tried. Overall, a very good drumstick.

    • Durable and have great rebound, may switch to Pro-Mark

These felt pretty good and I didn't have any problem with them until about 30 seconds in and I noticed that the brown coloration of the sticks were leaving marks on my coated snare head and on my brand new zildjian k custom. Not as noticeable on the clear drum heads but it's still there. These are now designated practice pad sticks ONLY. Maybe it'll wear off some of the surface coloration on the stick and then maybe I can use them?
