    I have not transported my kit in a long time, but I have my kick drum stored in this case and it seems like it will protect it well (certainly better than my soft case). Finding the right fit was a problem though, the sizing charts are not at all clear. The first one I ordered was the exact dimensions of my drum and it turned out to be way too big (like 6" too big). Thank goodness for customer service at GC (and especially my good buddy Jason at the Concord CA store) for an easy exchange for the right size, which had to be special ordered.
