Description
Custom Pro Series Steel Snare Wires are designed to give drummers an unrivaled level of control and clarity. These innovative wires feature anti-choke end plates that banish annoying snare buzz, even at higher tensions. The end result is a crisp, cutting snare sound with punch and articulation. Speed Release straps make swapping out heads or wires a breeze, enabling quick changes between songs.
Anti-Choke End Plates Deliver a Tight, Focused Sound
The anti-choke end plates are the secret behind the Custom Pro Series' focused tone and sensitivity. They significantly reduce snare buzz, allowing drummers to crank up snare tension for a tight, responsive feel without choking the drum. The end plates help produce clear, articulate snare hits across the entire dynamic range.
Speed Release Straps Streamline Setup Changes
Speed Release straps revolutionize the process of changing snare heads or wires. There's no need to disengage the straps from the strainer or butt clamps. Drummers can simply release the straps to swap out components, then re-engage them with a quick snap. The straps save valuable time, whether making adjustments between songs on stage or experimenting with different sounds in the studio.
Steel Coil Wires Deliver a Crisp, Modern Sound
The steel coil wires at the heart of the Custom Pro Series produce a crisp, focused snare sound that cuts through any mix. The steel coils deliver a fast, articulate response that complements contemporary styles of music. Their bright, cutting tone is ideal for rock, funk and hip hop.

Well-made snare wires
Looking for new wires to replace my stock ones, came across these and I am not disappointed. As with any snare wire, there is still residual and sympathetic buzz, but these have excellent construction to greatly reduce it. The wires are all perfectly straight and evenly placed on the end plates. The quality with these is top notch. The speed straps make it very easy to change out the head without taking everything off, although putting the wires back on take a little finessing. I wouldn't recommend over-tightening them because of the sensitivity, but that goes without saying. Otherwise, these are very well-made wires.

Never buy this!
This thing is terrible. I've been a drummer for 38 years and have NEVER had standard snares break or come off. I wondered why someone would need this gadget. Answer: you don't! Just use the standard snares that come with the drum when you buy it.

Based on some of the negative reviews, I've never had a problem with the clips slipping through the snare because if you put them in the correct spot, (the small sewn together piece below the larger hoop) they're pretty well locked in place and don't have room to move around. But if you put the clips through the larger hoop at the very end they become very loose and have room to move around, so when you drop your snare basket it's very possible for the clip to slide through the slot. Just be sure you have the clips in the correct spot and you should be good lol

I had some bent wires on a used snare I bought and I wanted to replace them. Decided on these because I was drawn to the quick release system and the fabric straps with measurements on them. I've been using them for a few weeks now and my assessment is that the snares themselves are about on par with any decent quality 20-strand snare, although they're very pretty. But I'd pay the price for these again just for the straps and quick release pins. I absolutely love that aspect and think it's the way snares should be attached. Other reviewers have explained the system well and I agree that once installed correctly they are secure and aren't going to budge. If you're looking for a change in sound or less sympathetic buzz, I don't think these will accomplish that by themselves. But if you just want nice quality snares with a smart attachment system, these are perfect.
I would purchase this item again and again
