The Remo Black Suede Emperor batter drum heads feature two plies of textured ebony 7.5-mil film with a unique non-reflective look. Provides a soft feel, focused warmth, and enhanced midrange tones for snare drums and toms.

Their two-ply durability makes them ideal for hard-hitting applications, such as pop, rock, R&B, punk and funk. They are also ideal for resonant heads because of their aesthetic look.

I recently broke the drum head on my side snare, so I got this drum head. It is very warm sounding. I would really recommend this to anyone.

I have a 1966 Pearl President Series trap set that I've gigged with for years (Blues & Country). Yes, the set has seen its better days but I love the darn thing and it's served me well. I had Remo Fiberskins on it and an Ambassador Weahterking on the snare... It was time for refit. Based on the reviews , I replaced the 13" and 16' toms with the Remo Black Suede batter heads... WOW!!! What an improvement. You get a lot of stick action without losing the warmth and punch that I like in my toms...They're ridiculously priced and I think I paid around 12-14 dollars for that fix. I couldn't be happier...
