A great buy....Really a good guitar

I bought this guitar to be able to take places like camping, picnics, group jams and not worry about it. I was pleasantly surprised. It was beautiful looking guitar with a natural finish. No blems at all. The sound was rich although plugged in a little trebly but a few adjustments and it sounded great. I did do a set up on the guitar. I started with filing a few of the fret edges that were not very smooth. The neck arrived straight as an arrow. I had a single high fret and I filed that down until all frets were level. I did lower the action by sanding the saddle and the nut. The very low action now allows playing like a dream. I was able to lower the action so a quarter will not fit under the first fret on the low E string, no buzzing at all. The guitar comes with a compensating saddle!!! That is great! I replaced the stock strings and that really brightened up the sound...I find it interesting people complain about having to tune it a lot?? I tune every guitar I play before I play it....after replacing the old strings with good ones and allowing them to stretch the guitar stays in tune for hours even after hard play. Plugged in it sounds great...just tone down the treble on the pre-amp. I am impressed with this guitar for the price...really nice....It is a full dreadnought with that full sound. People say you get what you pay for...yea I get that but I have played 3K Martin guitars that were not impressive and needed just as much work setting up...all things equal...guitar size, same wood and correct specifications the physics come in to play and the sound is equal....Buy this guitar with confidence. Guitar Center gives you a 45 day return policy if you get a bad one take it back...my opinion avoid the insurance that the sales staff pushes...it will cost more than the guitar...unless you are super hard on your stuff tossing in the trunk with out a case! I really like this guitar, just plan to do a set up (as required by all guitars) Used youtube to learn each step.

Don't make the mistake of buying this "guitar"!

Most reviews must be written after taking it out of the box. After 3 months the problems started. Tuning pegs are garbage. Action seems to unadjust itself. Fret edges should have caution warnings. This is a good practice guitar only if you want to become a luthier. I bought a Rougue acoustic seven years ago and to this day, it's a great guitar. I gave it to my grandaughter and bought a new one. BIG MISTAKE! The best quality in the new one I bought 4 months ago was the box it came in. It's an expensive wall hanger. Please consider my comments before you make my mistake.

Although this guitar does come with very minor problems, this guitar comes with an onboard amp. I think that for its price it comes with a good package such as the tuning, good look, good feel, and good price

I wouldn't recommend this guitar at all. The action is too high, it buzzes, the peg to tune it sucks the bearing inside aren't durable (it broke for mine).

It is unplayable. Has extreme fret buzz and trying to adjust the truss rod doesn't do any good. The neck and fret board are uneven. Starting on the body side the fret board is high and then drops down in the middle of the neck. Trying to straighten up the neck by adjusting the truss rod only makes it worse. The guitars look good but are junk.

Very nice starter guitar. Only complaint is the high E string broke at the peg on the 5th day I had the guitar.

  • The Good, The Bad, & The Ugly

The Good is that with a little effort put into fine tuning and some decent strings, this thing doesn't sound too bad and the tuner is dead on. The Bad is for the terrible QC before they go out, I have bought guitars of similar quality that FAR exceeded the way this was packaged up and shipped. The Ugly is another reference to the QC and overall design of this, it thing has sanding marks, bad paint job, completely dried out fretboard, chincy wiring, budget whitewood that's thin as paper and the audio out jack seems like it's barely hanging on, but hey it was $80. All that said, I bought it, lowered the action and put elixirs on it. Overall, it surprisingly sounds good.

I bought this guitar 3 months ago, the neck is really uncomfortable to hold for a long period of time, the fret ends are really sharp, and the bridge is starting to come off the guitar. Honestly you should go for a mid-range guitar compared to this trash. NOT WORTH IT!!!!!

Right handed. If the neck is in your left hand, the pickguard will be at the bottom of the instrument.

This guitar does not come with any additional accessories. These items would need to be purchased separately.

I would suggest checking to ensure the battery is fully engaged or needs to be changed. Sometimes after the guitar has been sitting for a while the battery may lose it's charge.
