This is a sturdy, well-built case that is a good size for carrying an electric guitar player's essential items (a few pedals, jack cords, ear plugs, etc.).

I was a huge fan of Pelican cases, but SKG in my opinion is a better build case, and offers more custom configuration for Audio equipment, I now own three of their cases, two being custom fit, this case was a plug Foam configuration, the case is build solid, I would recommend buying the case with no foam if you are detail minded, and cut your own foam, plug Foam is better used with objects that are square.

This thing is a BEAST! I love it. Great size. it fits a standard 1U rack mount item in length by a good couple cubes of padding on the sides. Its more spacious then it would seem if you position everything you carrying like tetris. I got 6 mics, my m-audio profire 2626 interface, a zoom, 2 shock mounts, and still plenty of room. Only thing i wasnt prepared for was how heavy this thing was gonna be. Even half full its quite a lot to carry for a long distance. I went for this because i did not want one with wheels. I have no experience with a wheeled skb case but I saw the wheels as a possible weak point. I am not rough with my things intentionally but i put this thing to the test. Seeing as i get caught in some odd situations (jumping fences, car accidents, running down icy frozen stairs to catch a train) It was important to have something super durable and portable. Its held up all that and more! Def worth the money. If you're unsure about being able to carry 25+ lbs around for the distance you plan on traveling I would go the extra buck and get one with wheels. Haven't tested its water proof capabilities but Im sure the day will come

This Case is LEGIT! Im in love with it! Haven't tested it on the road much yet but its gone down my stairs once already and beer has been spilled on it. No Sweat! I wasnt sure how the foam would come. It says cubed, and it is, but it is three separate layer of cubing which makes storing different sized items easy and versatile. currently i carry an interface, 5 mics and a zoomh4n in it as well as a pop blocker on top. all fits easy and there is PLENTY of room for more. Each mic only takes up one layer of the cubed foam so i can stack two mics on top of each other and still have a fat layer of foam in the center and as well as the top and bottom pad. The bottom bad is a little thin but nothing to worry about as you can always reinforce it with other pieces of pulled out foam used to make space for the items to be stored. This case is LEGIT. Im not rough with my things but im not always in a gentle or easy situation. I used to worry, but with this case, I feel much safer with my equipment.
