This is a great guitar for the money. Looks great and doesn't need setup. Also easy to get to the upper frets. Bridge pickup is a little hotter than I anticipated but I see no need to change it.

WOW! This is just a beautiful Les Paul style instrument without the ridiculous Gibson price tag. Fit, finish, and playability are all top notch. Very happy with this guitar.

So after a while of playing mostly low budget guitars, I decided to up my game. This is the most expensive instrument I have, but I want more like it. The fit and finish is superb. It seems to just glide under my fingers and the tone is awesome. Definately the best choice for a mid level professional performer, without being so spendy it ends up a case queen. You will want to always play this one. After seeing unboxing videos and players reviews of this guitar, it made me want this, and I am glad I do have it.

  • This guitar is the shrimp. Buy one.

Awesome sound, feel, look, etc. Can't say enough good about it. Adjusted a few things out of the box per my preference but no fault of Schecter.

Bought this guitar on Pre-Order with intention to use for travel to/from places. I have a Gibson LPC and wanted a close proximity to it. Completely surprised me how close if not better in some ways at 1/6th the Price of my main. Double bound body, bound neck, and headstock. Ebony fretboard, mahogany body, and neck are amazing. The Black burst was the one I was waiting for... and it didn't disappoint. Not quite as flamed or quilted as my LPC but still attractive. After all this you add Locking tuners and a compensated nut at a 1k price point, it's just unbelievable. Now all that aside, the Pasadena are just ok, but in the single coil position they rock. So, 1k for the axe, 200-400 for some pups, and 130 for the name case, it's doable, and your still far less than a LPC with numerous better features.

All guitars vary depending on the density of the wood. Manufacturers usually only spec size and type of wood. Guitars are generally between 6 and 12 lbs. They can be more. The only way to know the weight of an individual instrument is to weigh it. This will be about 8.0 - 9.5 lbs

I would like to order the Schecter Guitar Research Solo-II Custom Electric Guitar Transparent Black Burst to be delivered to a GC near me, but I also have an ESP LTD Viper 1000 that I would like to trade in. I do not see how I would make that transaction online. I realize I have to bring the ESP in to be evaluated for trade-in, but do not see how I get the Schecter shipped to the local store to make the transaction in person. I am looking at getting it shipped to either the Highland Park or Arlington Heights (IL) locations
