Schecter Guitar Research Stiletto Extreme-4 Bass See-Thru Black

Description
The Schecter Guitar Research Stiletto Extreme-4 bass delivers massive low end and effortless playability. Featuring a figured maple top, mahogany body and maple neck, this 4-string bass produces a flexible yet focused tone that cuts through the mix. The pair of Schecter Diamond Bass humbucking pickups are wired to an active 2-band EQ, enabling you to achieve a huge range of sounds from deep funk to aggressive rock. Finished in an eye-catching See-Thru Black or Black Cherry gloss, the Stiletto Extreme-4 is a high-performance bass built for today's bassists.
Figured Maple Top Adds Visual Intrigue
The Stiletto Extreme-4's figured maple top is a feast for the eyes, with an artistic woodgrain pattern that makes a bold visual statement. The top is expertly bookmatched, sanded and buffed to a high gloss for a stunning finish. The maple top also contributes to the bass's articulate, focused tone by adding brightness and clarity.
Diamond Bass Pickups Deliver Power and Versatility
A pair of Schecter Diamond Bass humbucking pickups provides the Stiletto Extreme-4 with a wide range of tones. The pickups feature a hot output and extended low end that produces a punchy, modern sound. Combined with the onboard active 2-band EQ, the Diamond Bass pickups enable you to achieve tones from fat and slappy to aggressive and distorted. Roll back the tone for a warm, vintage thump or boost the mids and highs for extra cut and sizzle.
Fast Maple Neck Plays Like a Dream
The Stiletto Extreme-4's maple neck offers a smooth, fast-playing feel that bassists will love. Its slim profile and shallow C-shape provide comfortable playability, while the 24 jumbo frets allow for expressive soloing and melodic lines. A rosewood fingerboard adds warmth and richness to the bass's tone. The Stiletto Extreme-4's neck is designed for high-speed play but remains versatile enough for any style.
Rock-Solid Components for Worry-Free Play
High-quality components like Grover tuners, a bone nut and sturdy hardware give the Stiletto Extreme-4 excellent stability and durability. The 4-string bridge provides accurate intonation for perfectly tuned playing up and down the neck. These professional-grade parts allow you to rock out on stage or in the studio with total confidence in your instrument.

Awesome Bass
This is a great bass. The quality is good and the sound and tone is amazing. I play it on a line 6 LD15 amp and it just sounds amazing. I've been playing guitar for a year and a half and decided to take up bass. This was a great start. There are three tone knobs and you can adjust it to you taste. If you're trying to get a punk like sound, get this bass now.

There are better basses in this price range
I had an omen 4 string a few years ago. I prefer the electronics in it. This bass is quiet. I need to crank up the input on my interface to get good recordings from it. The neck is comfortable and the action is good. When I plug it into an amp it sounds good but Ican hear feedback if I push the active eq to max.

Buyer Beware - Wrong picture on AD

The picture shown in the ad is an older model, and you will not receive that one. You will receive the 2024 (my pic). There are some noticeable differences if you take a look! Check the pictures in the other reviews as well. Other than that, this is a beautiful, sweet sounding guitar. Very light and comfortable. GUITAR CENTER, PLEASE UPDATE YOUR PICTURE. IT IS VERY MISLEADING!!!
Awesome bass, when wired properly

Jack doesnt work without pulling it out about 4mm after plugging in. Moving any part of my body makes the signal break and cut off.
Schecter crushes all like always!

Getting back into bass from years of guitar playing. I play metal first. This bass is perfect for the job, easy on the eyes and pocket book.
Great bass for the price. It is not a $1000 instrument.

Very lightweight, setup pretty good out of the box, may use lighter tension strings later. I've only played it at church and is great there. It is totally different than a Fender I'm used to so not sure how it will be with the band. I love playing with a pick on this bass since the string spacing seems closer. Being a Fender player the controls take some getting use to. I wish Schecter had put a diagram in with the bass. There is some fret buzz but a good setup should cure that. FUN bass to play!

I absolutely love this bass. Picture's don't do it justice. I think's it sleek in person. The active preamp sounds great and adds a lot of tonal options to give your sound some additional character. It's a little heavy but in a way a like! Best entry level bass on the market 100%

Which knobs control what? There isn't a diagram of what each knob does. Especially for which two are the 2 band eq versus which are the blend and volume knob.
