Sennheiser - The Future of Audio

Description
The Sennheiser EW IEM G4 Wireless In-Ear Monitoring System offers musicians and vocalists the ability to customize their on-stage sound. With 1,680 selectable UHF frequencies and up to 42 MHz of bandwidth, this system provides interference-free performance. The rugged SR IEM G4 transmitter and compact EW IEM G4 receiver, paired with Sennheiser's IE 4 in-ear monitors, deliver pristine, detailed audio with a frequency response of 15 Hz to 18 kHz. The Sennheiser EW IEM G4 system gives you the flexibility and power you need to achieve your best live sound.
Hear Every Nuance With IE 4 Earphones
Sennheiser's IE 4 earphones provide high-definition sound with enhanced bass for monitoring applications. Their ergonomic design blocks out ambient noise while remaining comfortable for long-term wear. With a sensitivity of 123 dB SPL and an impedance of 16 ohms, the IE 4s are perfectly matched to the EW IEM G4 receiver. An assortment of earpiece sleeves in different sizes ensures you find the optimal fit and seal for your ears.
Reliable Wireless Technology
The Sennheiser EW IEM G4 system utilizes adaptive diversity reception to prevent signal dropouts during your performance. Its transmission range of up to 330', even in difficult RF environments, gives you freedom of movement on stage or in the studio. An automatic frequency scan feature identifies available UHF frequencies in your region for interference-free operation. The system is also backwards compatible with Sennheiser's previous evolution G1, G2 and G3 in-ear monitors, protecting your investment in Sennheiser gear.
Intuitive Controls and Display
The SR IEM G4 transmitter and EK IEM G4 receiver feature an easy-to-navigate menu and jog wheel, as well as an OLED display with automatic dimming for optimal visibility on stage or in low light. LED indicators provide at-a-glance monitoring of key functions like battery life, RF signal strength, and audio limiter activity. An infrared interface allows for fast, automatic synchronization between the transmitter and receiver.
Road-Ready and Built to Last
The metal housings of the SR IEM G4 and EW IEM G4 are built to withstand the rigors of live performance and frequent transport. An included GA3 rackmount kit secures the transmitter in standard 19" racks. With up to 8 hours of battery life from two AA cells, the EW IEM G4 receiver will last through even the longest sets. For in-ear monitoring that delivers professional sound quality and rock-solid reliability night after night, choose the Sennheiser EW IEM G4 system.

I built my bands IEM rig and outfitted it with all Sennheiser. They are workhorse units that are built amazingly well. We added another band member so I purchased this second one to add in to the rig for him!
Excellent product

I use this for gigs. We have an amp free stage, and I rely on this as my monitor. Works great! Synching was a breeze and we have 4 (5?) of these systems in our racks and you can easily find a clear signal. We played an outdoor gig near Oceana Naval Base in Virginia Beach my first gig with it during an air show with with the Blue Angels flying overhead during sound check! Not a bit of interference. I was expecting a "This is Spinal Tap" moment where we could hear cross talk. I don't think you could put it through much more rigorous testing. I will warn this - the batter low light is always on! If it's low, it flashes. That's not intuitive and I replaced batteries and went to the Internet only to find this out, not by someone saying it like I did, but by noticing the light was on in every video! Hello, Sennheiser, make that something you tell people up front. I could have saved 30 min.

I have a six piece group that I need in ear monitors for …. I hat do I additionally need to make that work with this system?
To equip your six-piece group with in-ear monitoring using the Sennheiser EW IEM G4 Wireless In-Ear Monitoring System (Band A), you'll need to expand upon the base system, which includes one SR IEM G4 transmitter and one EK IEM G4 bodypack receiver. Here's what you'll need: Equipment Requirements for a Six-Person Setup 1. Additional EK IEM G4 Bodypack Receivers (5 units) Each performer requires their own EK IEM G4 receiver to receive the in-ear monitor mix. 2. In-Ear Monitors (IEMs) While the EK IEM G4 receivers come with basic IE 4 earphones, you may consider upgrading to higher-quality models like the IE 40 PRO, IE 400 PRO, or IE 500 PRO for improved sound fidelity. manualslib.com 3. Additional SR IEM G4 Transmitters (Optional) The SR IEM G4 transmitter can broadcast to multiple receivers on the same frequency, allowing all six members to share the same stereo mix. However, if individual mixes are desired, you'll need additional transmitters—one for each unique mix. 4. AC 41 Antenna Combiner (Optional) If using multiple transmitters, the AC 41 antenna combiner allows you to connect all transmitters to a single antenna, reducing interference and simplifying antenna management. 5. Antenna Accessories (Optional) For enhanced signal strength and coverage, consider directional antennas like the A 2003 UHF or omni-directional antennas like the A 1031-U. Setup Overview Transmitter Configuration Connect the SR IEM G4 transmitter(s) to your mixing console's aux outputs. Set each transmitter to a unique frequency if providing individual mixes. Receiver Synchronization Use the Easy Setup Sync function to synchronize each EK IEM G4 receiver with its corresponding transmitter via the infrared interface. Antenna Management If using multiple transmitters, connect them to the AC 41 antenna combiner, which then connects to a single antenna, streamlining your setup and minimizing potential interference. Monitoring and Adjustments Utilize the Wireless Systems Manager (WSM) software for real-time monitoring and adjustments of your IEM system.submitted3 years ago
