The Seymour Duncan Classic Stack Plus neck pickup looks and sounds like a true Stratocaster single coil but none of the traditional single coil hum. It’s got all of the sparkle and the chime that you would expect from a vintage Strat pickup. Like its neck counterpart, the Classic Stack Plus middle pickup provides all of the classic Strat chime. However, it's RWRP to give you that perfect in-between sound of positions 2 and 4 when split to keep the set completely hum-free in all selector positions.

    I picked up a budget Tele style guitar that actually uses Strat pickups, and only 2 of them. The stock ones sounded good, but I wanted something better. I replaced them with another brand I use a lot, but the single coil noise was too annoying. Put these in it, and problem solved! They sound incredible and they are dead quiet. I didn't wire them with coil splitting, but I don't think I needed to. They have a great chimey Strat tone already. I did use a 4-way switch, so they can be used in series or parallel. I used 250k CTS pots, a treble bleed, and a .047 orange drop capacitor, which I think at some point I'll change out for a .033 or a .022. I think since it's basically a humbucker, .047 takes a little too much of the highs off when rolling it down.

    It's a lot better than what I had before. I swapped out the middle pickup on my 1990 Ibanez RG350

    This pickup with an stk-s4 neck and a Stk-s7 work perfect in my Squire Strat. Fatter strings and a Eb tuning give a wide variety of tones and Warmth to a clean sound and the tonal varieties complete the Strat sound altogether with either distortion or overdrive. Clean with a dirty at the same time !!

    I put the STK-S4m in my Fender Modern Player Tele Plus because I was getting tired of the OEM pickups. I upgraded the guitar with the STK-S4m, a long with the SD Pearly Gates and the DiMarzio True Velvet T pickup. All three pickups took my Tele to a new level of sound. The STK-S4m has an authentic Strat sound that is clean, yet powerful. It doesn't matter if you're playing chords or ripping it up in solo - the pickup keeps is crystal clear. I wouldn't hesitate to put this pickup in any guitar. Great sound - no buzz and versatile in a five way setup.
