Flimsy piece of junk
I bought this to upgrade from an X-Vive system. That was a fun entry level wireless system, but too vulnerable to interference to be used in a performance situation. Unfortunately, I knew this Shure system was going back to GC when I was taking it out of the package and noticed the sending unit weighs about as much as a Nickle. It it one of the flimsiest, under-designed products I have ever seen. Drop this thing once on anything but 70's deep pile carpet, and its done. The receiving unit is three times the size it needs to be and also housed in thin plastic. A toddler would crush it. I set it up and tested it, and it worked flawlessly. Like so many manufacturers of refrigerators and dishwashers, they figured out the hard part brilliantly and paid no attention to durability, or how the thing would actually get used in the real world. This is some of the worst product design I've ever seen, and I won't be a part of it. A throwaway-quality product that will either have duct tape holding it together or be in a landfill within a year.

This was perfect for my budget and being a bassist finding the right rig was a pain til I came across this one. It's super easy to set up and have been having a blast using it and it is active pickup and effect friendly especially with a bass pedal board.
Very reliable

I play bass in a local band. Even though the transmitter feels like cheap plastic, I've dropped it, but it's fine. It works great.

There is plastic and then there is plastic. These units are made of ABS plastic like LEGO blocks. They are extremely durable. I had my first gig with it last Saturday, and of course the first thing I did was drop it about 3 feet onto the concrete floor of the brewery. The battery compartment popped open and one of the batteries came out. There wasn't a scratch on the transmitter. I replaced the battery, scanned for the clearest channel on the receiver, set the transmitter to match, and had clear, perfect sound for the whole 3 hour show. It sounds better than a cable, IMO. Zero latency. There is maybe a slight coloration and compression, but like Shure microphones, any coloration is in a good way that helps it pop in a mix.
Have 2 line 6 and this sure. This sure is awesome !

I love this wireless. I do recommend it. It has a cord from the sending unit unlike some of the other competitors that are a stiff unit sticking out of the guitar and can a do get bumped and break.

Does the guitar adapter sit flush to the guitar? The other piece plugs into my Fender Twin Reverb Amp? How many hours does adapter last before needing to be recharged?
The adapter is either attached to a strap or placed in a pocket, and the power lasts for roughly 7 hours.submitted5 years ago

Shure BLX14 Guitar Wireless System Me and my guitarist are looking to go wireless and we want to get the same system. When looking at the Shure BLX14 Guitar Wireless System it asks what wireless channel I want. Do we both get the same wireless channels or do we get separate ones so the signals don't cross?
No. You need two different channels or you'll be playing out of each others amps.submitted6 years ago

Cannot figure out if this is Bluetooth, VHF, UHF, or just a regular WiFi frequency. I am looking for something that commercial, police, fire departments, and audience phones will not cut into the signal.
The BLX series beltpack transmitter works with lavalier and headset microphones. With the WA302 1/4" to TA4F cable, it also works for electric guitar or bass.
