Sire

collapse expand iconDescription

The Sire Larry Carlton L7V is a new and additional variant of the single-cut electric guitar composed of classic and modern Larry Carlton-approved appointments that can be matched to higher-priced quality guitars with the same specs. It is truly built for breakthrough performances.

The Larry Carlton L7V is an LP-Style crafted from mahogany and hard maple with a flame maple veneer and comes in your choice of Tobacco Sunburst, Gold Top or black. Depending on which style you choose, the hardware comes in chrome (the Tobacco Sunburst and Gold Top models) or gold (on the Black version). For your playing comfort, this cool-looking axe comes with a hard maple C-shape neck featuring an Edgeless ebony fretboard. Rolled and smoothened, this makes it easier to ride up and down for slick transitions and hours of pain-free play. The tune-o-matic bridge on the Sire L7V is combined with an aluminum stop tailpiece to contribute in the production of better tone to allow stopbar height adjustment to your preferences. Other appointments include locking tuners to avoid accidental tuning slips during heavy play, and ivory binding and an ivory pickguard add to its charm.

The Sire L7V has a two-piece rounded rectangular-shaped LC Vintage P90 pickup set that ensures all sound elements are picked up while producing warm, rich and full-bodied tone. These soapbars give you a balanced output between the neck and bridge positions, which allows expressive dynamic playing styles. A 3-way toggle switch, plus two Tone and two Volume controls with brown top hat knobs, let you dial in the right tone to match your style.

This is a very good guitar for beginners or advanced beginners. Reviews on YouTube led me to believe it was competitive to the fender player series quality wise. It comes within 75% of that. Good sounding pickups. Good playability. As far as LP models go, it's probably the best at this price point.

This is a very great guitar and it is very well built. I took it out on a gig for the first time and it played extremely well the clean sound and overdrive is just totally amazing. I purchase it from Sweetwater at $100.00 less before they sold out.

This is my second sire purchase and I can't say enough about the build and quality of these guitars. I have heard a lot of good things about them recently so thought I would order a less expensive model to just see if the reviews were true, so I ordered the S3 Strat last year for under $400. I was blown away how great it was. And the neck and playability stands in its own. I found myself not playing my Gibson Les Paul or my Fender Telecaster that much anymore. So when I was wanting a p90 guitar it was a no brained to order this model, the L7V. Absolutely beautiful finish and once again quality was top shelf. There is a reason why they keep selling out so quick. I imagine we will see more musicians playing these guitars live at some point. Happy customer!
