Get the most drum configuration options with the SPL Birch Competition Marching Tenor Quints. They feature 7-ply all-birch shells for a bright, highly projected sound while maintaining low-end attack, ideal for halftime shows, parades, pep bands and more. Shells include 6”, 8”, 10”, 12” and 13” sizes, and we include a sturdy and rugged carrier to effortlessly carry them all. SPL uses weld-less, triple-flange hoops and Evans System Blue Marching Tenor drumheads, creating the open sound and articulation necessary for today’s most discerning marching ensemble.

Since all SPL marching drums are modular, you can start out with a quint and then add an SPL 6” tenor tom to easily create a full sextet — the slots are already available on the included SPL carrier. Or easily downsize to a quad quickly and easily. No drilling or special tools needed.

All SPL Marching Quads include a free T-style lightweight carrier. With most manufacturers, you will need to spend an additional $150 to $200 for the carrier.

    I am in marching band a need to practice on a marching quad and this is a good price and it works better than the other one I bought it came in the box with a drum key and sticks the only thing that was bad is that the 5th drum came in different box it still sounded good for the price

    Please see photos. Box did contain a drum key, wrench and sticks. They arrive 75% assembled with SPL branded heads. I did not see any indication that these are Evan's heads as listed in the description. Spock arrives in separate shipment box. Although they do not sound like the Quantium 2's we have at school, I march up and down the driveway at home to build endurance. I currently march bass drum and intend to make tenors next season. My brother will also play these drums so my Mom felt it was a good investment.

    No, the Sound Percussion Labs Birch Marching Quints does not come with a spock, but the 6-inch drum in the set is also known as a "Spock Drum" and comes with an SPL Evans Corps Clear head.

    I don't know the carrier size, it will be almost 4' across. The shells are 6”, 8”, 10”, 12” and 13”
