Timeless Fender Style

This Strat embodies the timeless Fender style with its iconic double-cutaway alder body, bolt-on maple neck and vintage-style tremolo bridge. The laurel fingerboard adds warmth and clarity to the overall tone. With your choice of ice blue metallic or natural woodgrain looking finishes and white pickguard, this Strat is sure to turn heads.

I got this guitar to replace a guitar I had gotten as a gift, and I can honestly say it's a pretty cool guitar, the finish and body is great, I really like the fretboard (ALTHOUGH) I wish it was glossy, it isn't a deal breaker. It stays in tune, surprisingly well.

  • Squier Stratocasters - Not Just For Beginners

I learned about 12 years ago how to play guitar. I bought a Fender Telecaster which I have been using. I got back in to music and playing guitar after a few years of not playing so I thought why not get something new. I decided and bought this Limited Edition Ice Blue Squier Stratocaster. Now, I know everyone says Fender Stratocasters have better hardware, but hear me out on this. These ceramic pickups have an absolutely beautiful tone for the price. Turn the volume knob down on the guitar, and turn the volume up on the amp. Ceramic pickups have a very high output, and nobody ever told me this. This thing sings beautifully through a Fender Frontman. The guitar itself arrived in great condition and was pretty much set to go out of the box, at least for my taste. I didn't really need to do anything with the action. I kept the stock strings on it, I plan on replacing those soon. It stays in tune very well. No complaints there. The satin neck is nice, I wish it was glossy but that's not a big deal to me. The frets are smooth compared to the sharp frets on my Fender Telecaster. It is a bit lighter than a Fender Stratocaster. It's not a hulk like a Les Paul or a Telecaster. I'm really enjoying this guitar. And it's becoming my "go to" guitar over my Telecaster. It really is that good. I'm actually considering picking up another Squier. That's how much I like it. These Squiers are a steal for what you get for the price. Absolute highway robbery.

I'm teaching myself to play guitar at 63 years old. I love how the guitar feels and the sound is awesome. I am very happy with my Squire Stratocaster which was recommended by my guitar playing friends. It stays in tune, plays well and looks beautiful in the natural finish. It appears to me very well made and the price was not bad. Kudo's to Guitar Center for any easy & fast transaction.

For beginners the thinner yet full sized lightweight body and velvet smooth neck back make the Affinity easy to play. Nice gift from parents. Have GC set it up. I modified mine to include Texas Special pickups, locking tuners, brass tremolo block and 6110 jumbo frets. Amazing results.

All guitars vary depending on the density of the wood. Manufacturers usually only spec size and type of wood. Guitars are generally between 6 and 12 lbs. They can be more. The only way to know the weight of an individual instrument is to weigh it. This will be approximately 8.5 lbs.
